Look lots of people feel the same way you do. Join the crowd. If you feel that bad see your Psych doc on base. They should find out if you just have the blues or if you have a more serious problem like lots of other people on meds. The good news is, that if you do go and get help, not only will you feel better, but they may transfer you out of Korea. Everyone I ever talked to loved Korea.

Soldiers die for others/or their country. For a change try to live for a good cause, its sure is more difficult than the war.Nowadays, very few people are happy and have good companions.Don't feel that you are the only person suffering from depression and loneliness.

Because you are a person of worth.
Why do you think you are depressed? Because you are in the military? Because you are in Korea? Because none of your friends or family are not there?
Please hang in there. Things can get better. Do you have family? Can you imagine how BAD they would feel if you were no longer here? It is devasating when a family member commits suicide. I know I've been there!
Just know that others care about you even a stranger like me.

keep on living. god sent you down here for a reason, and you have to live to fulfill the mission you were sent down here for.
i always thought that i was ready to just end it, but i guess leaving everyone behind to suffer what they will suffer isn't fair.......so i lived for a while longer, and here i am now!
i like my life now, go to see more loved ones that i haven't seen for a long time (4 years) and i am content with myself.......so i guess you should continue living.
you don't want the cowardly way out, while us people over here are suffering and going through all that we will go through.
i was depressed and lonely before, but continue living, you will probably soon find the reason to live and you will be content, i hope.
good luck.

Working in the security industry can be a very boring, thankless and isolating job. Try getting a job as a carpenter, plumber or something else and the satisfaction of a good, productive days work is a wonderful thing.

You need to keep living. You were put on the Earth for a reason and if you kill yourself you'll lose that. Maybe you need to change something or try something new to give you a different outlook on life. Try praying to Mary and see what comes from that. If you kill yourself what have you accomplished? Taking your own life is not an option you should consider. We were put here for a reason and if you kill yourself you can't accomplish your goals.

Because if you cease to live, then you cannot continue to attain knowledge. There is much to love about life and to learn is to live.
Make learning your life's goal and you will always have something to live for. Even the wisest among us have not learned everything.
You have already taken the first step, by coming here to seek advice and counsel.

Take it from me, a former MAJOR sufferer- get a doc to do a blood test, etc. There CAN be plenty of hormonal, etc reasons for depression, but many mental health people will only seek mental causes, and sell you short!!!!!
Good luck!

Come to NYC and run a cash register at a Bodega. Most of them sell alcohol to youngsters. You'll be helping them out and you'll feel better about yourself.
