My personal favorite is "to float an air biscuit", or "Did you hear that barking wall spider?"
My husband takes this to a whole new level and categorizes them into gurglers, whisperers, burblers, ect....

Whistling Pete, which I borrowed from the funniest British story I have ever read. That is also the name of my favorite firecracker which is sold in NC. It screams for about 10 seconds.
