Who would have thought you'd miss the 90's so much!!!!!

Post this in your bulletin if you remember these days . . . .

or if you smiled at one of these things. . .

Post with the year you were born

Fresh Prince of Bel Lyrics
Now this is the story all about how,
My life got flipped, turned upside down,
And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there,
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air.

In West Philadelphia I was born and raised
On the playground is where I spent most of my days.
Chillin' out, maxin', relaxin all cool,
And all shootin' some b-ball outside of the school.

When a couple of guys who were up to no good,
Started makin' trouble in my neighborhood.
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared,
And said "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in bel Air."

I whistled for a cab, and when it came near,
The license plate said "fresh" and it had dice in the mirror.
If anything I could say that this cat was rare,
But I thought "Nah forget it, Yo home to Bel Air."

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight,
and I yelled to the cabby "Yo homes, smell ya later."
Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there,
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air.

I LOVED your "question"! I was born in 1947 and I lived through all this stuff through kids I baby sat for, my own kids even though they are older, my niece, and my oldest granddaughter. You made my day! Thanks!

Yep, I remember all of those things, PLUS how the 90's actually HAD some kind of personality (unlike the 80's, which was always a wannabe decade, and could never make up its mind on what it was supposed to represent).

It was also the decade of Operation Desert Storm, which showed that if you win a war fast enough, the media doesn't have a chance to call it 'un-winnable' like Walter Cronkite said about Viet Nam (and was wrong).

And don't forget about how cool having a car-phone was. Or how much cooler the bag-phones were. And when you went grocery shopping you actually talked to the people you were with, NOT on your cellphone.

The 90s will be remembered as the time when humanity reached its potential. Jesus, Da Vinci, Einstein. It was all just a prelude to Will Smith.

LMAO! A lot of that stuff takes me back. I think some stuff there is more relevant to the US (I'm in the UK, so I don't recognise all of it), but still a lot to make me grin. :D Nice!

I have Fresh Prince stuck in my head now dammit!
