I've heard that the hair grows back the next day and thicker than what you started with. Is this true? And what's the best method? Nair or a razor? This will be my first time shaving. I'm 12.

I've tried Nair and a razor. Nair works pretty good, but if you have sensitive skin then make sure you try a test patch first. Definitely make sure you only leave it on for the time it tells you to on the bottle. As far as razors go, I love the shick intuition. It's VERY easy to use if you are just starting out. It's got the soap on the razor so you just gently move it up your leg. It works well on underarms as well. Good luck!

Hair continually grows so even when you shave you might have a small amount of stuble within a day or two. Shaving does not cause the hair to grow back thicker or coarser. It just seems that hair are coarser because when a new hair grows it starts out very fine but after it comes through the skin it starts to grow larger in diameter. When you shave the same diameter grows back as what you shaved off.

Products can be very harsh on your skin if your skin is sensitive. And it's messy.

I've always prefered to just use a good razor and shave instead. Try a double or triple bladed razor made just for women.

Use a razor its easier than nair. The hair does not grow back thicker. It may look darker because it is fresh out of the folicle and has not had time to lighten in the sun. Make sure you use a good shaving cream or gel it will lessen the amout of cuts you get.

Try the Veet Bladeless Shaving System. The hair will not grow back as quickly as with regular shaving, and you'll avoid possibly nicking yourself!

do not shave your arms.
you can shave your legs but, you have to be careful, use lots of soap,
i heard nair is really good,
but waxing is so much better because your hair dont grow back for 3 weeks, its better to wax your arms

At 12, you should not be starting this unless you are very very dark haired. Once you start thats it, for the rest of your life. Also, NOBODY shaves their arms, thats just insane. Why put yourself through all that??
