Whiskey. 3-8 shots. I prefer Jim Beam but they all work wonders.

My remedy would be a day off work with a nice bath, plenty cups of tea (get someone else to make them for you of course), a nice film and lots of sleep.
Well, that's what i'm craving just now cos i'm full of the cold too, but am stuck at my desk at work!!

Olbas oil on a tissue is great.
If your willing to be very uncomfortable for one night - put on about 3 layers of clothes and get in a sleeping bag under your duvet! You'll sweat it out really quickly. Sounds awful, and isn't pleasant, but does work and gets rid of the cold really quickly!

Depends on if the cold is in your head or in your chest. I have recently tried the off brand of Musinex for a chest cold and it worked great!! They make it for head congestion as well. I am sorry you are sick.......the weather around here is enough to make everyone sick!! Hope you get better soon!

lemon and honey (with a shot of whiskey if you prefer) as a cough suppressant
honey and vinegar(cider) with hot water as a tea, it clears nasal passages and soothes the throat

Alka-Seltzer cold-plus. You dissolve two tablets in a glass of water. It doesn't taste the best, but it's bareable. It always seems to help me.
