It looks like some people don't like having their religion questioned.

Chris L, what an interesting link! Hopefully, you won't suffer any penalties for the crime of Environmental Heresy.

Dels Replies: I love visiting the UK and its people. I'll be there later this month. I was referring to Easter in South Texas, which wasn't exactly baking this year.

OK, so the question was tongue-in-cheek, but if "Global Warming" really were "science" based on "fact," there would be an explanation for the record cold in the southern U.S. that is consistent with Gore's shrill histrionics. But, there isn't. It's all about faith, just like religion!

Izaboe, thank you for your copy-and-paste insult, but my vision is 20/10 in both eyes. Now, answer the question.

There are two sides to every story. Check out a programme called 'The Great Global Warming Swindle' for the truth. See link below.

While you may have had a cold cold Easter in Southern texas we here in Europe did have a particularly warm Easter. We were 7 degrees above average here in Vienna and had no snow at all (which is very uncommon). Also the Austrian ski season, and I am talking high mountainous altitudes here, didn't start in the largest part of the country till the end of January. The papers were filled with global warming stories... The environment minister wants to put a tax on air travel and asked everyone to think twice before flying, there were reports on which cars expel the least amount of CO2 and there is now an act in parliament to mark foods with a label if the transportation distance is more than 500Km so we CAN abstain from buying these CO2 sinners.

Having read this I was very interested to read Chris L's article:
http://www.channel4.com/science/microsites/G/great_global_warming_swindle/index.html. It is nice to also read a story from the other side to balance things out.

I don't think Al Gore has to explain anything away. As long as their are two sides to any story and as long as we don't know which side is the truth we will have to choose one of them until we do know which one is true and only then can we change our opinion. Much more it is important to look at both sides and decide (to the best of our ability) which one is best!
I for one do not look forward to a world full of famine and drought. But whether or not it comes from cars or from planes or factories or from cows, and volcanoes for that matter, I don't think it would be a bad thing to drive less and come up with cleaner cars! Exhaust fumes stink and it is starting to stink wherever you are...
Most important though is that global warming seems to be a trend (whatever is causing it) and we need to start thinking about how we can avoid the famine and drought scenarios which are already starting to rear their ugly head!!

"the position is Al Gore, could he no longer be the following explaining to us how the coldest wintry climate recorded in US, is brought about?" What area of "climate change" as an evidence do you no longer understand? some aspects of the global receives hotter, some aspects receives less warm, some drier, some wetter... no longer so confusing to understand fairly.

Global Warming is a theory based on scientific fact.

There will be days when it's gonna be cold. The Earth's tempature has increased 1 degree in 100 years, and we are on a long term heating trend. And soon it will be past the point of no return.

Global warming causes extreme swings in weather. Like, for instance, the fact that last week, it was in the upper 70s here and this past Saturday, there was a blizzard.

depends on where you live, Easter is cold here in southern Spain, but hot in Northern Spain and France. So it may not be a cold easter as you claim.

Al doesn't have to explain anything. The data speaks for itself. Global warming predicts that extremes in both cold and hot are expected.

The operative word in global warming is,.....

"GLOBAL"!

Global warming, the least informed such as you seem to be, do not understand that global warming will bring about freaky weather and is about climate change that can be blamed on global warming. .
