Feel for the cold line from the compressor and look for something on it that looks like a tire valve. Just keep an eye on the gauge and don't go over while you're filling it. Gregthorn is full of doodoo. No wonder he's still an apprentice after two years.

Do not use a kit, take it to a dealer or repair shop for them to have the system recharged. Using a kit can result in contamination of the air conditioning system and it will not be able to be recharged properly. The mixture of chemicals/gasses from these kits can cause the mixture inside the air conditioning system to become explosive. Whenever these kits are used (yes, even a good one) it contaminates the system, so the sytem can't be recharged properly. The proper machine will become contaminated if this is done, and every other vehicle that machine is used on afterword will become contaminated as well. Have the job done properly as there is no actual way to tell what the charge is inside the system with these kits. Too much refridgerant can be harmful and will result in prematrure failure of the system, not enough in the system will result in the air conditioning not working properly.
