It depends on where you are planning to work once you graduate. If you want to work in the US, you'd do best attending a US university, etc.

But in general, assuming that you don't live in any of the three countries you listed, I'd rank them as follows:

-USA
-Canada
-Australia

Universities in the US tend to garner great respect in many foreign countries. But you must also consider the factors that others mentioned here - which universities are you considering? Because Harvard (US) versus, say, Queens (CA) - go for Harvard. But Lesley College (US) versus McGill (CA)? Then it's McGill.

Australia!
Na i'm biased because I live here.

American uni's probably have more world-wide recognition though, if you get into a good, well-known one.

It depends on what you want to do also.

Do you have a few uni's in your shortlist? Cause that would help.
And do you have a particular climate you like?

Get a list of things you like as credentials and do some searching on the net. And it's good you've started to ask questions too, once you have more knowledge on where you'd like to go you'll be about to get more refined answers.

Good luck!

The best schools in the US are better schools than the best schools in either Canada or Australia. However, the best schools in Canada or Australia are better than the average school in the US.

So -- it depends. If you are comparing Harvard or Duke to any school in those countries, you would be crazy not to come to the US. But if you ar ecomparing the University of Toronto or UBC to Arizona State -- you would be crazy not to choose the Canadian school.

any university in the world cannot compare to american universities.

i'm sure you'll get excellent education at U of Toronto or U of Sydney, of course, but you won't get the same opportunities. A degree from anywhere outside the US isn't worth much inside hte US.
