Why the unhappiest day called monday blue?

Monday is called "Blue Monday" probably because it is the start of another work week.... back to the grindstone... so to speak! The weekend is over... playtime was fun... back on the job to get the work done! Who wants to deal with that?

I always felt"down" on Sunday evening because Monday was coming up. This applied to whole time I was in school. When I started to work it applied some also but eventually I was on a shift that was so varied, you didn't really have a weekend in the traditional sense. Now Mondays don't bother me anymore. But going back to work after time off is still a bummer.
