how can you dislike a friend? you should never want to get rid of them but if you don't want to spend time with them then just don't make time for them no matter what a person does or even if you don't like them you never know how you respond could hurt a person for life maybe that person needs you. I would figure out why you dislike them and maybe its you that has the problem

See , to be very honest a person who u dislike is not worthy of being your friend if your disliking him/her has a solid reason.Frienship is a beautiful relation which is based on trust, liking & love for each other & if there is no love ..no liking there is no use of keeping someone in the dark..be honest with that person & part ur ways, both of u will be very happy .

Focus.... if you dislike them they are not your friend. They are at best an acquaintance.
The kindest way to get rid of someone is just to absent yourself be busy elsewhere. Don't return calls or text msgs etc. Move on they will get the picture. If they contact you and ask what happened. Be kind just say that sadly some friendships grow apart but you will remember them fondly. Then be quiet and move on.

When you speak to this subject like "get rid of a person", what exactly do you mean by that? Either they are your friend, or they aren't. You decide and then simply stop being their friend or find your way to being their friend.

if u dislike her then why do u still want2b her friend?
If u wanna keep away from her without any confrontation then don't say anything about the way u feel (unless u want things2change) - just ignore her/ himand eventually they'll stop trying.. u can say ur busy, busy, busy!

Well, I would think if you dislike them then they are no longer your friend. Stop hanging out with them. Don't answer their calls, etc. If they still don't get the hint, be blunt and let them know you just prefer not to hang with them anymore.
be cool...

Tell them:
I really don't like you, but I still want to be your friend. But even though we are friends don't call me or come see me ever again. With friends like me you don't need any enemies.
That should do it.
