I think that men and women are equal in many areas. I do not know of a court that lets women off with no proof. Even if the abuse took place over many years there would have to be some proof somewhere! If not, the woman ends up in jail. There are many stories where abused women have even received the death penalty in cases like this. It doesn't matter the amount of evidence - there must be some. The evidence can be pictures, witnesses, journals, anything.

If you are talking about Mary Winkler that killed her peacher husband, then all you have to do is view her public demeanor to know what you have to do to get off 'scott' free - look and act like a victimized little girl of 12 versus a 40 yr old grown woman with three children.
Then when you get a glimpse of the real her, as shown in the shot of the smoking and drinking in the bar/resturant, you know it is all an act. But somehow seems to work anyway.
So if he beat her why didn't she just leave. I know why, she was angry and wanted to get back at him. She did get back at him but she also hurt his Mother and Father and other family. She deserves the same as she gave him.

Lots of women ARE in prison because they killed him
Even though he was violent & holding her hostage . . .
What are you talking about ?
Some TV show ?
You skipped putting any reality / facts / real cases into your question ,
Was that because only 1 in 5000 got off with that claim ?

These fictional stories are meaningless to anyone
Who was't born yesterday . . .

I think you would need to provide an example of when this has happened. I would think anyone, male or female, who has murdered will be punished unless there is clear evidence that they were badly abused.
