okay, i have a few questions about my bunny:

1. should he be kept in pairs, we have had him for about 3 months. He has had constant attention and seems fine but I have read that they still need a partner. I really don't want him to be lonely.

2. As the weather is now starting to turn summery we bought him a hutch. He goes in it for around 5 hours hours a day. He wouldn't get lonely, would he?

3. How quickly can rabbits catch mixy? He hasnt had his jab, because the vet has been booked up, and we only booked and appointment when he started going outside.

sorry for all the questions, i'm just paranoid

Does your rabbit need another rabbit? No. A male kept with a female, will breed, and two males will fight. And with constant attention, he wont be lonely.
The rabbit should be fine in the hutch for 5 hours a day, providing he has access to food, water and some shelter, in case the weather changes.
For the rabbit to catch myxomatosis it has to be bitten by a mosquito carrying the virus. If the hutch is bug proof, your rabbit should be OK, but I would get the shot, just in case.
Me, I have had rabbits on and off, most of my life, and I'm in my 40s. Good luck.

Do not be sorry! You should be proud of yourself that you care enough about your rabbit to ask for help!

I cannot say that I know the answers to all these questions, as I do not own a rabbit at the moment. I do know that, yes, it is probably best for you to get another rabbit. Be sure that you do not plan on breeding them. I would say the best thing, though, would be to get a neutered female, as I don't know how territorial males are.

I think he would be okay in the hutch outside, but not for five hours a day. Predators can walk up to the hutch and scare your bunny. They can die from a heart attack brought on by too much stress.

I do not know about the mixy. You can check www.rabbit.org for that information, they might possibly provide you with the answer.

Apologies for the uncertanties. Hope you find what you're looking for! Good luck! Good to know there's a responsible pet owner like you out there somewhere!

Rabbits shouldn't be kept outdoors because they will face problems like heat stroke, fly strike, predators (dogs, cats, birds, foxes). Here are some great websites.
