2/3 of the country is experiencing the worst spring cold spell in 70 years. The northeast experienced it coldest winter in many years. Last years hurricane season was practically non-existant Al Gore spent over $35,000.00 on electricity last year.
What the heck happened to "Global Warming", and why won't Al G. practice what he preaches. Could it be that he really DOESN'T BELIEVE all that rhetoric? Maybeit's just a ploy to take more governmental control over our lives.

Why does jays_mom think it's alright for Gore to do whatever he wants?
And just FYI, I already know what's really going on with it, I was just looking to se what answers I would get.

In the 70's the BIG scare was that we were heading for an ice age. Computer modeling doesn't work. They put in the weather from the 50's to find out what the computer would say, and it was WAY wrong. Al Gore was recorded saying that HE doesn't believe in global warming. It's all cyclical, and the orbit of the Earth (which isn't stable) affects climate. so does sunspot activity, which is presently at its lowest state. You can find alot of this information at. http://solarscience.msfc.nasa.gov/index.html

Those who study only one field of science should not poen mouth and insert foot. Those, like Al (B)Gore should not speak at all.
There's an old saying. "It's better to be silent, and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

It's a good lesson. Don't believe everything you hear from the media nor the so called experts, especially the ones with the PhDs.

In the 70s the big cry from the experts was how we were going to run out of oil and energy by 2000. In the 80s everyone was going to die from AIDS. In the 90s computers were going to take everyone's jobs. Now it's global warming.

You Texans are sure bright. Of course anomalies disprove science.
It's called Global Warming. Not local, regional or national weather. Global temperatures are up year-on-year.
Al Gore did not make this up. He is spreading the nes to the public what scientists has known for years. 95% of climatologists agree and all have made the same predictions.
Do you think Rush knows more than scientists?

The truth is, your unusual weather neither proves nor disproves global warming. It is simply insufficient information.

Unfortunately, no-one is now seriously looking for any alternative other than that there is global warming (for which there is at least good evidence at present) and that it is man made (for which there is not). No researcher gets funding for looking into "no global warming". No politician makes progress by talking global same weather as before.

This does not mean that there is not global warming. It means that if we don;t look at both sides we can never be sure. And we are only looking at one side.

I remember in the late 70s they were saying that the weather was colder than usual and that this was caused by man. Now it's too warm. The truth is that weather cycles have always been a part of nature.

Frankly, I think people have far less an impact on those things than we like to think. Not that we shouldn't be careful, but it is often way overstated.

Umm.. i'm gonna quote Tobey mcguire from Spiderman 3.. "the position do those adult men all come from" certain it really is no longer all us yet yeah we are the biggest project. and your little snow challenge is because the warming and trapping in some parts is affecting the Air and Ocean currents, changeing global climates. the information is there that the climates are replacing and that there is a delicate warming/cooling. parts that were warmth have become cool and parts that are cool oftentimes have become warm because the equator. the in simple terms reason the North American NorthWest is getting coated in snow is through huge noreaster. the actual actuality off the remember is, the more advantageous gasses contained in the ambience are not helping and all scientists will conform to that. automobile emissions are deadly to human beings, no longer contested, and customarily human beings are bored to death with the price on the pump.

"Global warming" is a bad name for what is actually happening, which is climate change; the name comes from the fact that the AVERAGE temperature of the planet is climbing, but that actually causes greater swings (hotter summers, colder winters)....

There is NO DOUBT whatsoever the planet is getting warmer, but whether we have anything to do with it or not is debatable.

Your "snow logic" is no different than saying that Grandpa smoked four packs a day and lived to 100, so tobacco must be good for you!

Global warming doesn't mean it gets warmer...
The increase in the Earth's average temperature means that the world's weather gets weird, which explains your "unusual" weather.
