You can delete the Itunes folder from the "My Music" folder in "My Documents," or you can reformat your iPod and delete the songs by selecting them and right clicking & selecting clear.

Click on one of the songs in your iTunes. Now press Ctrl + A to select them all. Now press the delete key on your keyboard. When the pop up appears choose: Delete from library and computer. And the next time the iPod is connected the music on it will be deleted.

Plug in the iPod.

In iTunes select all songs - an easy way is Edit, Select All. Then hit the delete key. Chose the option to remove the songs from your drive.

Might need to sync yout iPod afterwards.

Everything should be gone!

FWI: just so you know, you could use iTines 'Backup' feature first, then the files could be on CD's or DVD' to store away. just thought I'd mention it.

In the edit button at the top of iTunes, there is something that says SELECT ALL. you hit that and then you hit the DELETE BUTTON on the keyboard and then plug in your IPOD, and all the songs will be GONE.

One way is connect your iPod to iTunes, then restore it, that will delete everything on your iPod, which will also remove it from iTunes.
