No the shuffle can be used as a flash drive also.

Do a File Import, or Import a Folder into iTunes.
Then make your playlist to transfer to Shuffle like normal..

yes of course. but first you have to download the i-tunes and you're going to download the limewire for you to be able to download songs of your choice. connect your usb cable to the computer.
