It is an interesting site. I am a pet lover, who also eats meat as humans, and other animals are designed to do. I believe that animals should be treated fairly and with respect, and given the freedom to enjoy a quality of life. The ending for them should be as humane as possible.
Like Jules I have gone through serious illness, including mental illness and I am also keen to highlight the plight of other sufferers. The balance is a difficult one.

Maybe one day we can stop cruelty and suffering inflicted on them by the humans ..but we can only
go so far ..we need support from governments to pass laws to protect the well being of the Animals ..without the interference from governmental levels ..it will be a steep hill to clime.. good luck..by the way i am coming to Bari end of April to catch a ferry boat .

I AM ALSO A PET LOVER! I HAD 3 POMERIAN DOGS, ONE OF THEM DIED WHEN SHE FELL OFF THE TERRACE. OUR HOUSE WAS FILLED WITH GRIEF. WHAT KIND OF PETS DO YOU HAVE? I am a life long member of " PETA" People who Eat Tasty Animals.
So you are wrong girl we all can not work together.
I also love my pets.
In the Animal kingdom every thing eats and most animals are canivores as Man is. So if you plan to stop man why not pettion to stop all the rest of the flesh eaters in the world to make them stop also.

Interesting . . . but ultimately self-deluding b.s. I truly believe that people suck. They're selfish, greedy, and ignorant. Its not that it wouldn't be nice to help the furry (and not furry) critters, but we don't know what we're doing. Meaning well is not a replacement for doing well.
In conclusion, you live in Italy; I live in the northern Rockies . . . why should I care about your opinion, should you choose to have one, on whether wolves should live here with me?

What you are failing to understand is, the pet is really the master. Pets truly live, lives of Riley. Some people even peel grapes for their dog.
