When i check my status online it says that they started to process her application 2 months ago.
What do they do with it that takes so long?
In some countries (like Germany) things can get done within a month.

Coz there's too much backlogs in the CIC Sydney office. As long as you sent them all the necessary papers that they require from both of you with your application forms, then your wife can be there in between 6 to 9 months really. The only reason it will take to 18 months if there's something questionable with your documents or that your wife didn't passed the medical examination that the Canadian Embassy's registered doctor in her country perform.

in case you marry a US Citizen, the potential of having your green Card would desire to take approximately 6 months or much less. be attentive to the fees and effects you would be required to pay. additionally, if the fairway card holder has been a good person, meaning somebody following the regulation in any respect cases then the potential individuals Citizenship would desire to in basic terms take 3 months. So it form of feels like the excellent element to do it rather is wait till he will become a US Citizen.

The US is in major need of immigration reform. I have said it a thousand times but no one seems to understand, but looks as if you do. The cost/time it takes to get here legally is why we have the current problems with illegal immigration. People as yourslef try to do it the right way but sometimes often times circumstances wont permit them to wait out the 500 years it takes. Good luck to you. I hope you get some resolve on this soon!
