Do we really need to see a doctor if we have chicken pox, ( not serious, like normal people gets chicken pox). ? Is there any 'forbidden' food or things that people having pox cannot take?

As the last poster said adults who get chickenpox for the first time need to be seen by a dr, children who get it usually do not see a dr unless there are complications.

As for shingles, anyone who has had chickenpox is at risk for shingles. When I had problems with my breast at 26 the dr I had at the time thought that maybe I did have shingles because of the kind of symptoms I had and of course the fact that I had already had chickenpox when I was 16.

As for forbidden foods, none that I know of but if you are having problems with an upset stomach because of it stick to eating soft and light foods like mashed potatoes, applesauce, and soup, and of course stay well hydrated with lots of water and other liquids that will help with hydration.

Children who have chicken pox don't need to see a doctor unless they have complications (infected poxes, or very high fever). Adults who get chicken pox for the first time in their lives are at an increased risk of a severe form of it and should see a doctor. It can lead to shingles if untreated.

You might want to go for a diagnosis, if you don't know what it looks like. I didn't, therefore to my knowledge, my kids have had chickenpox at least six times! Joke - you usually only get it once.
Call your doctor if the child's temperature rises above 103F. or if the child is clearly unwell, with a headache. (possible complication could be encaphalitis.) Or if the blisters get infected.
