If by porridge you mean "oats" (hey, I'm American!), I'd say the porridge would be best. However, they both are good. You just have to make sure that your wheat cereal is whole grain; read the contents. Godloveya.

For weight loss shredded wheat is better, it has less calories. Porridge is full of milk which is high in fat and contains to much salt and sugar. Shredded wheat is whole grain so it is also good for your heart.

porridge made with water or skimmed milk..good for fibre and against heart desease.But really if on a diet go for whatever you like best otherwise you wont keep to a diet if you hate what you eat! Best of luck !

Both are good -

Shreaded wheat ok if person wheat tolerant

Oats are Low GI will fill you up and stave off hunger, also used to combat craving.

For dieting I would say Oats although it won't hurt to alternate them.

Porridge as long as you don't add sugar it also lowers cholesterol so its really good for you
