It has been cold in some parts of the US of late, some states have had below average temps for a few months now.

What's happening isn't down to global warming and is probably best described as local weather. On a global scale temperatures have been above average but there will always be some places experiencing exceptional cold whilst others experience exceptional heat.

It will soon warm up.

My my my, when are you, so educated youngsters, going to learn the difference between the terms global and local?
Al Gore delivered the message (quite nicely) about what is going on world wide. The movie contains what was compiled by scientists world wide. So are you going to shoot the messenger? Someone had to deliver it and it could have just as easily been you or me.
If you take the time to understand GLOBAL warming you would learn all about the causes and effects.
