i think bananas are a great source for potassium & someone once told me a large banana has as much protein as a small steak... but i'm pretty sure that if that's all you eat you would miss out most essential vitamins to stay fit. i read once that a man eat nothing but cornflakes & carrots once & died... i know thats not quite the same thing.... but, hey...be careful....

Certainly not! Bananas are a great source of potassium, but to much potasium can kill you. The best way to lose weight is to eat a balanced diet, with a large variety of fruit and vegeatables, and not too much of any one thing. Fad diets are always a short term thing as nobody can keep up with them for long and the weight goes right back on again.

Bananas contain a lot of potassium, so to satisfy ones hunger with only bananas, would take a lot of bananas. Potassium levels would therefore probably be very high, and could possibly lead to an overdose.

i've tried the banana diet. Can lose weight but not long term. eat too much bananas and you'll put on more weight instead of losing it. point is, to do it on moderation. If there is a will to live, human can live on water + will

Possible. Body builders are eating bananas to help to build muscle. Banana may be able to supply the nutrient needed.

I believe so because they are suppose to be the perfect food and they always say you never see a fat monkey. But you would definately need water and until your body gets use to it you would have alot of bowel movements.
