Windows Vista still has many problems with it, Some programs will not run on Vista.
However Xp is the most stable program because it's been around longer, and most of the problems have been fixed

Honestly guys, everyone talks about "all the bugs!!!" and "the lack of stability!!!", but who has actually had something horrible happen that WASN'T because of outdated hardware?

I ran the Vista RC2 from November-February, and then the official Ultimate from February-present. I have not ONCE had a single crash, freeze, or any error. It just keeps working. I don't even turn off my computer...I just "lock" it when I leave every day. It's been running now for over a month without a restart. The last restart was to install the new updates (DreamScene, etc). I use Media Center for TV, Voice Command for work, I play all of my PC games, and there's never been a problem.

Once you go to Vista, you can't imagine going back to XP. Media Center is the way God watches TV. I couldn't possibly go back to watching TV without being able to pause/rewind/ff and record other shows while watching something. And it automatically records stuff it thinks I'll like, based on actors or topics, etc...(or even by sports player for athletes I like).

The Voice Command is incredible. It actually works. The voice command on my PowerMac and MacBook can't do anything. The Voice Command on my Vista PC lets me compose documents, browse the internet, copy/paste...I can do everything while laying in my bed.

And of course the graphics are sick. DreamScene lets you have any high-definition video file as your animated desktop background. There's a handful of "shows of sheer power" like that.

The whole operating system has been nothing but a blessing, personally. Like I said, I couldn't imagine going back to XP. It's true Vista takes A LOT of RAM and A LOT of processing power...but for good reason. This isn't kid's-stuff...it's a heavy and hardcore OS.

Do a Google / Yahoo search for: XP vs Vista

XP is older and more stable.

Better? You decide.
