yes this works. you put the juice in a spray bottle and apply to hair and walk around in the sun without a hat on. it takes about a week but it does work.

Lemon juice does not bleach hair it simply lightens it,if you are starting out with a light color it appears to "highlight," if your hair is a dark color it will lighten to a certain degree . Here is the deal hair color lightens in stages, there are levels of color. This is why, hair starting say at black will then lighten to a red, then, orange then, a gold ,to yellow and so on. The lemon juice is very acidic and can easily dry out your hair. If you are starting out with dry hair you can damage your hair quite alot. As for "Sun In" I do not recommend as it contains metallic dyes and will effect any future chemical services IE: perms, chemical straightening, any hair-coloring and I do mean serious hair breakage. Your best natural alternative would be a chamomile soap/shampoo just leave in for a few minutes every time you shampoo it's a gradual process a subtle change. It won't dry your hair out like the Lemon juice. Good luck!

It does work but you have to be careful. If you have black hair and you leave the lemon juice on for a long time, you could end up with white strands of hair. All you have to do is apply fresh lemon juice onto your scalp (make sure it isnt the lemon juice you drink)

Good Luck

I have done this before with a product called "Super Sun-In". I don't recall who makes it, but I found it at a typical drug store, something like Walgreens. It contained a portion of lemong juice in it, and came in a spray bottle, you just put it on your hair and then go spend some time out in the sun (best if you are tanning too). My hair was medium brownish at the time and the lemon made lighter, golden-ish, natural looking hilights, similar to what you would get from spending alot of time in the sun anyway. Nothing drastic, mind you, but it was a nice effect.

It works but i wouldnt do it if you have dark hair, it will make it reddish! Ive tried before and i have very dark brown hair and it turned an ugly red color.

If you want it to be light blonde you should just bleach it.

I wouldn't really suggest sun-in. To me, it still damages and yu can't control where it will show. If you really want a color shange dye it? Just my opinion.

It does work but don't get it on your scalp.
