even though the love of my life has broken my heart and hurt me soooo bad, I still care for him and want the best for him why do i still love him and cant hate him for what he did to me? he did a lot he even broke up with me saying he doesnt love me anymore and started seeing another girl the day after and holds her hand infront of me. why does this happen to me?

Love and hate are not opposittes because you still show feeling towards them. My friend did the same, her ex did all kinds to hurt her and she still wanted him back, I had no idea why. You won't feel this way for much longer. You're holding on to the good times of your old relationship and refuse to move yourself on. Get looking at some other guys and then you'll see what a REAL bf should be and realise that you only care for your ex as a good mate. Just understand that nothing else will happen between you, and if he does ask you out again, it will end exactly the same. People who hurt you once, will hurt you again. Good Luck x

.it is because you loved him with your whole being you gave him your heart..i did the same thing but i went to be with my mom thanksgiving instead of being with the man i really loved.....but see i knew my mom would not be here long and when i got back at 2 on thanksgiving he was with a old girlfriend and before the week was up had moved her in with him.......that hurt so much...but i gave him my heart and he said he loved me but it cannot be love if you can not go be with your dying mother...but he said he wanted someone to be there for him..i did not want to give up my apartment or my grandkids and my mother died the next month and i was alone christmas and cried the whole time..we may give our hearts but that does not mean they really do.......but really even though it hurts us and we can not understand why we still care we are probably the lucky ones to get away from someone that does not put us first in there lives..love is not selfish..it is kind and they should understand and care for our feelings to and our loved ones and not just there self...it is going to take time to get over this.......it has been since last thanksgiving and i am still not over what he did to me..i do not understand because i thought he really loved me.....

Why do you feel so... depressed... hung over?
Its a simple answer really... Feelings don't just disappear overnight. The longer you're with someone, the longer it takes to disappear. Partly, its also due to your will power to forget and move on.
I know its hard hun, but this guy sounds like a total ***. He held hands infront of you so that its a sign saying "Move on, i've already moved on"
Take this failed relationship as an experience rather than heartache, Guys like that aren't just worth crying over.

This happens because you were truly in love. When you are truly in love, you want the one you love to be happy regardless. He wasn't though. Unfortunately, we can't make the ones we love feel the same way about us. Just try to avoid him as much as possible. Your heart will mend. I have been there a couple of times.

Too much depend on any body end with broken heart. Dont give too importance to any one..
change your system, read more books, go to park, play with other friends , read story books thus divert your time to extracurricular then you will come out from all these silly time passing love. Love your parrents, your brother, your sister
