I want users to logon and have a message pop up (the message needs to be changeable) i have googled it but none of the programmes are free.

yeah, that's gonna be the fun part. You can get a few free C/C++ compilers from sourceforge.net. You can save your text data into a text file (like your message of the day or something), then link the data in your text file to the text boxes in your form, that way the program always changes the text to whatever is in the text file.

Though, if you want a program to do this all for you, it won't be free...

Go to User Accounts, in the Control Panel, and create a "limited" user account.

Password protect your own Administrator account & re-boot

Then, I doubt you will need anything else.

You could put it in startup in the all programmes file. Use notepad etc change message when you open it.
