I highly recommend a 46" or larger model LCD TV from either Sony (XBR2, XBR3) or Sharp AQUOS (D62U, D92U, or D92U series.)

You may want to postpone purchasing a new LCD HDTV a little longer and wait for the RGB LED backlit LCD TVs. If you don't want to wait then pick from either of the two brands above... you'll be pleased with either.

When I researched this subject, I decided on LCD, which I see you have. I also found the two best LCDs were Samsung or Sony. I got Sony, but , I think either one would serve you well. If you were to ask if I would give up my Sony for a Samsung, I would not. That's my answer. Good Luck in your decision !
