Eve was beguiled. Adam instead of trusting God to fix the problem tried to remedy it himself and Joined Eve with his eyes wide open. He chose to sell us out to the devil. This gave legal rights of the earth to the devil and we've been cursed ever since.

A woman could be the downfall of a man or men, but that depends on the man and the woman, I guess.
Yeah, a lot of men do blame all their problems on women or a woman. I don't believe in marriage or single partner relationships so I don't have to worry about that. I just do my own thing.
As far as the bible reference, the only way I could respect the bible, is if it is a metaphor. Did you know there is a scripture, under daily sacrifices in the torah, that says that every man must sacrifice two sheep everyday. Even when that was written that would be an impossible task. The species would be extinct the first day.
I'm hoping that it is a metaphor. What's the metaphor, well.
In Buddhism, there are positive and negative states of mind, two of which are referred to as an animal state and a plant state of mind. Also, certain characteristics of human behavior were represented by the animals that displayed that trait. Like, the snake represents anger.
My theory is that all of the plants in the torah are positive attributes, because plants absorb the natural energy of the universe and use it to grow, while all animals must kill to survive even the gentle sheep kills grass. Therefore, animals in the torah are the negative states of mind the negative aspects of human behavior.
So what are the sheep you are supposed to sacrifice each day? Sheep are white and fluffy and innocent looking, but they are still animals. They still kill to survive. So, I believe what they are asking of you is to find two things in your life everyday that seem innocent and harmless, but actually aren't. Maybe little things like smoking, or eating unhealthy foods, ignoring that beggar, etc.
What does this have to do with Adam and Eve? Everything. If the snake in the story represents anger, then the story makes sense. It was anger that caused Eve to see the difference between good and evil to know right from wrong. It doesn't explain what she saw that made her angry, but an example could be: Someone stole something of hers. She became angry and decided that there should be rules for people to live by.
That it is the tale of creation because the author believes that that is the point where we were no longer considered animals. We were kicked out of the garden. According to my theory the author is saying something good about women. That a woman opened the eyes of all mankind to advanced thought.

No; women are not the downfall of man. When you read it again look and see what the man did? He ate the darned fruit too!.!.! The woman didn't twist his arm. Like a man these days the man back there could make up his own mind. So Eve ate the fruit ........Adam took the second bite and sealed our fate.
Ask anyone here on earth.
Given the same opportunity, with the same amount of knowledge that Adam and Eve had? Could you have done better? And if so then why is your life so messed up now when you actually do know better?
Take care, and God bless.

As the Christian story goes, Eve decieved Adam into eating the forbidden fruit. Two things are missed in the story (and yes, it is just a story). 1) What gender was Satan, or did he have a gender (I say 'he', because in some stories-not necessarily Christian, Satan lives on Earth for a while and takes up a human wife). 2) According to some stories, Eve was not the first woman. Lillith was Adam's first wife. She left him because she thought that man and woman were equal and Adam basically told her to leave the garden, since he felt that men should be dominant. Surely, the first sins in the stories were sexism and adultery (Nowhere have I seen anything detailing any divorce between Lillith and Adam). Adam had children with Eve; Lillith gave birth to demons and monsters with Cain, Adam and Eve's son, who had killed his brother as an offering to the Christian god.
If you translate 'demons and monsters' as 'problems' ('the devil made me do it'), it would seem that all problems were caused by two women. However, if Adam hadn't thrown Lillith out of the garden, neither the demons and monsters/problems would have been born, nor would Eve had been made. Eve, by her nonexistance, would not have been able to tempt Adam.
Read into it however you wish...

Of all the animals God created, the serpent was the most tricky and deceitful. He came to Eve and asked, "Really? None of the fruit in the garden? God says you must not eat any of it?" "Of course we can eat it," Eve replied. "It's only the fruit from the tree tree of the knowledge of good and evil that we cannot eat. God says we mustn't eat it or even touch it, or we will die."
"That's a lie!" said the serpent. "You won't die! God knows very well that when you eat it you will become like Him - you will know good from evil!" Eve looked at the fruit on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and saw that it looked fresh and delicious. She thought the fruit would make her wise like the serpent said it would. Eve was convinced! She picked the fruit and ate it, and she gave some to Adam to eat, too.
The fruit did not make Adam and Eve very wise, but they did realize for the first time that they were not wearing any clothes! They were embarrassed and made themselves skirts of fig leaves.
God was Angry
Later that day, God was walking in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve were ashamed of what they had done and afraid to face God, so they hid in the trees. But God knew they had eaten the forbidden fruit. Adam tried to put the blame on Eve, and Eve tried to put the blame on the serpent, but God was angry with all three of them!
God punished the serpent by cursing his kind. They would forever have to crawl on their bellies in the dust and be enemies of mankind.
God punished Adam and Eve, and all their descendants, by making their lives hard. No longer could they live in the perfect world of the Garden of Eden. Men would have to struggle and sweat for their existence. Women would have to bear children in pain and be ruled over by their husbands. Adam and Eve were thrown out of the beautiful Garden of Eden forever.
We may know right from wrong, but sometimes, like Adam and Eve, we give in to temptation and convince ourselves that doing wrong is actually a good thing. Also, like Adam and Eve, we often find that doing wrong gets us into trouble and has other bad results.
NO woman was not the downfall of man it was Lucifer.

It's been the joke of the sexes over the centuries, but at the end of the day, mankind was fooled into partaking of the fruit by satan-- the serpent.

Man realised quickly that in order to live with woman he too had to partake of the same fruit.
This answer is sufficient on many intellectual levels to satisfy the question asked.

It is just a figure of speech and not to be literally intepreted. Man has intellect to choose and make a decision on his own. I believe, those who interpret this figure of speech in a positive way attribute women with the strong capacity to persuade or influence men by charm and wit.

I don't know why you are using the word ' man'. It was Adam. He was a man, it's just that you could be a bt more precise since the Bible tells us that it was one person, Adam, who took it from Eve. Yes, Eve was decieved, but Adam either was stupid, or He knew that Eve was condemned so He sort of 'went after' her. I'm really not sure.

You can't give time to a book which has been written by men, as it will have been written from a man's point of view. Furthermore, you can't possibly believe what is written in it! How can woman have been created from man when they both have the same number of ribs? It's nonsense.
