Why does .AVI and .WMV video formats will not appear in the projector?

i have lots of .avi and .wmv videos, problem is it could not be project using a data show projector?. Anyone can enlighten me whats the reason behind, thanks

I assume you want to play those videos on a PC using Windows media player, but all you see is a black screen?

Check the "Video Overlay" properties of Windows media player on the PC you try to use.
