I dated an amazing man from Canada a year ago. We split because I lied about everything. He moved back home. I've became an extremely honest person from it. From the last time I talked to him, he was still holding a grudge against me. I'm going to Canada for our friend's wedding, in THREE years. Do you think it's possible to re-gain his trust again? I love him, I want to show him how sorry I really am. Yes, in three years. I talk to his little sister here and there on the internet, she loves me still. :] I've seen in movies where this happens, and everything turns out being perfect in the end. Any chances of that happening in reality?

I know I asked this before, but I’m hoping to get more answers this time. Thank you.

Yes, fairytales happen, where else would people get the inspiration to write such amazing movie plots?

Go for it. Ok you lied..but people do crazy things in relationships. What is the most important is how you feel about him..and you LOVE him..so what could be more beautiful? Also, you've got three whole years to work on yourself (if u need to) so make the most of it..and try again. The worst that can happen is what? You dont get together..but ur not together now anyway..so nothing to loose in my eyes!

Goodluck!

It can happen, but I wouldn't put my life on hold for it. You lied. That is hard to forgive. Even if he tries, there is no guarantee that he will ever trust you again. Do you really want to spend your life proving everything you say or do?

I am really glad to hear that you have changed your ways. Liars always get caught.

Trust is a very hard thing to regain. My ex wife lied to me and suppose that is why she is my ex now. Trust and honesty are the basis of a relationship. certainly go for it , but you have to be 100000000% truthful and honest NO MATTER WHAT
