is it because mankind has become less gullible? maybe after 2000 years we will worship bush, as the god who brought the religion of democracy to middle east?

They happen. You only have to be in the right place at the right time.

"Verifiable"? There are miracles happening every day.
Gullible? or Spiritual?
Disillusionment with religion is happening, this is true, but it is happening the most in the United States. You know why this is true.
Edit:
I wrote about this too much, I won't write an essay for you, but here's the reason down to its most simplistic, bare state: diversity.

I think the kind of "miracles" you are talking about are ones such as the water fountain with a bird that told you whether your soul would go to heaven or hell when you inserted a coin inside (yes, it's rather vending-machine-like, but they did exist, and people thought it was a miracle). These did work because of people's gullibility, but they are not the miracles that I am talking about.

I am doubting that your question is one of religion and spirituality. It may be better resolved under government and politics.

More then likely due to the fact that with the advances in technology, mundane causes are found for many things that would have been called miracles years ago. For example, last year, in San Antonio, Tx, there was a tree that started seeping water, there were many that claimed it to be a miracle and then they found out that the tree had grown its roots into a water main and was soaking up so much water that it started to seep. Many things that would have been considered miracles even 20 years ago, are readily answered today, hence there are less miracles today.

Are you kidding me?In 2000 years I would want people to know what an idiot we have rt now or rather in the future had for a president and how incapable he is rather then relying on his staff and causing more controversy in the White House with people such as A.Gonzales who needs to be fired ASAP since all he does is contradict himself and is in the position that he is on because he is a good friend od Bush's. if someone can tell me what he should be remembered is for being a moron and invading countries and thinking that the US and some troops as well as tons of billions spent can make the Middle East a better place?oh plz!he should of stayed in TX on his ranch vs. becoming president!he has no charm or charisma as Clinton did as well as he is not a good diplomat.and no, I hope that in 2000 years he will be remembered as the pres. who had no idea what he was doing in 2003-2007.so we brought democracy in the MIddle East?are you that stupid?we brought hatred and more anger and instead of uniting and changing people we kill people and are the most hatred country around the globe!we did not bring religion or democracy..we brought war, suffering, and the US not fighting on their territory to get a taste of how it is to have everything destroyes,no hope, fearing for your life as well as the killings of many innocent lives.we should of left the govt, the way we found it because many countries go thru chaos and it takes time to modernize into a democracy yet we the US expected miracle results overnight.we are a powerful yet stupid country led by one idiotic president!as for in 2000, i hope that people will judge Bush the way he needs to be judged vs parising him!

No miracles ever happened. Only things that the people didn't understand so they made up stories to explain those things.

no. there are miracles these days. people have just gotten blind. there are small miracles these days because this is a sinful world. men's visions have been clouded. i no someone who had a miracle happen to him, but it wasn't that big. his name is Austin Carty. he was on Survivor. well, he came to out school and went on a mission trip. he told us wat happened while he was on panama Island with his team. he witnessed to one person. I think he was a black rapper that had studied in laws. Him becomin a christian is a miracle. non-christians don't understand y it is a miracle, but christians can see y. it's hard to explain.

and my science teacher at school had a miracle happen to him. He got his visa when he really needed it, and it was just the right time. because he really needed it, but it was expected to take at least weeks while it only took 2 days for him.

so if u conctrate hard enough on people's lives, u will see small miracles happen to them.

It's easy to claim miracles in the past, much harder to claim one today when it could readily be disproven.

There ae verifiable miracles that are happening today. It's just that you are too obsequious to the mundane world to see it.

Because this has been declared by God to be the age of faith. Faith is believing without seeing.
