I mean, is it an musical instrument he can play? His car? Job? How he treats others? Maybe a sponsored child? Volunteering? What?

A sense of humour is most attractive in a man.
If he can make me laugh that does it for me.

Job is important because it shows ambition and an ability to carry his own weight (I'm in law school and while my man doesn't have to make as much as I do, he does have to have a good, reliable job).

Also, a sense of humor, good manners, discretion (guys will be guys, but your friends shouldn't know my favorite position) and a lack of arrogance.

Volunteering is a great sign -- he's interested in more than himself.

A car isn't that important and doesn't have be great -- but I don't want someone that I have to give rides to all of the time.

Being interested in health and fitness and causes is great -- participating in an AIDS/breast cancer/diabetes/etc 5k is a great sign.

Education is extremely important to me, but he doesn't have to be super intelligent. Just not as dumb as a box of rocks.

One of the best things that a guy can do is just be considerate and do little sweet things from time to time. Bring me lunch during a particularly busy week. Volunteer to run with me. Set up an opportunity for me to do something that I have always wanted to try (rock climbing, dinner at a particular restaurant, a trip to a museum, etc).

Of course, I expect my man to want all of these things from me too. It's a two lane street, after all.

Sense of humor.. Ability to go out and have fun on a sunday nite, but still manage to get up for work the next day... Ya know a sense of responsibility... And my personal fave, a big........Ummmm... Foot....:) Naw J/K!!!!! I like guys who can take a joke as long as it's not too raunchy... And I like sensitive guys.... And ones who will listen to you talk and talk and never once say " I don't have time to listen to you complain about so-and-so" even if they have to be to work in the morning...

I guess I like the ones that most women say is their best guy friend....

Appearance will catch my eye, but his personality will capture my heart. All that material stuff is fluff compared to what kind of person he really is. What impresses me?

Honesty, sincerity, having a stable personality, being able to communicate how he feels, self confidence (a big one!), treating people with respect, regardless of their social status, having a good sense of humor, assertiveness, having self discipline, being able to carry on a conversation (I guess this relates to having social skills!), and last but not least, being trustworthy.

Now that's a real hottie!

It sounds cliche but my answer is personality. Specifically, sense of humor but that's just a part of personality. Once I knew identical twins, when I first met them I thought they were both gorgeous. When I got to know them I saw one as extremely good looking and the other as creepy and average at best. The one I saw as good looking was really a sweet guy, caring and fun to be with. The creepy one was a total jerk! Sometimes sort of funny but it was always at someone elses expense.

How he treats others. How he handles himself in a conversation. Whether he has a good sense of humor. Doesn't have a bad temper. Isn't demanding. Respects the opinion and feelings of a woman.

The main things we look for about a guy is his intelligence, sense of humor, kindness, sense of style, personality, ability to be responsible, treatment to people, protectiveness [but not too protective], support, they way he touches a girl, how he talks, his eyes, and most of all, if he cares about his girl.

It's just all about the guy. Not what he has.

How he treats me when we are alone and how he treats other people in his life..someone respectful. Someone who takes time out of their own life to help others. Someone who enjoys life. They are the things i admire.

The way he holds me when we kiss is a big part. When he hugs me and kisses me on the cheek. When he just grabs my hand. Calls me beautiful. If he has a good job.
