Perhaps it has more to do with the credibility of who is telling us.
Cheers :-)

The difference is not in the original material. The difference is in the way in which the original matter (dirt) came to be human. And the difference is God. God can take dirt (soil from the ground) and make it into man. In fact, God made the earth from which the soil is taken. But under the evolutionary scheme, where did the animals come from? And the prior lifeforms? How does evolution have such creative powers? Creation is a one time event so we do not expect to see it happening again. But evolution is supposed to be happening all around us but we NEVER see animals evolving another another kind altogether. So where's the science????

That is not true (that all Christians are anti evolution) on a universal whole and that is a poor stereotype.
I am Christian and I believe in evolution. Evoluition does not negate any Christian belief. It's just that we believe the soul cannot evolve at all.(cos that's impossible) However there's nothing wrong if we try to look for answers as to how the bodily material part of us came to be. And if we think that that material part is the result of evolution, nothins wrong with that.

Nature itself teaches us that change has its limits. There is no evidence that humans evolved from apes, or that birds evolved from dinosaurs. No one even knows how this could happen. Ever since Darwin, evolutionists have been trying to get around this problem. They cannot, because they cannot accept that God is part of the answer.
First, even though some people believe that evolution is correct, and that men evolved from animals, that does not make it right. People believe all kinds of things that are wrong. Humans did not "evolve," but were created specially by God (Genesis 1:26-27).
Second, the fact that a person lives in a cave has nothing to do with whether or not he or she is human. Saying that a man who lives in a cave is "half human" would be like saying a dog that lives in the house is "half human." The place where you live does not determine your "humanity." Throughout history, people all over the world have lived in caves. Pueblo Indians lived in cave villages in the Southwestern United States from about A.D. 1000 to 1300. A century ago, people lived in caves in Palestine. Even today, there are people who live in caves in Africa, Asia, and Europe. In Spain, gypsies make their homes in caves, where they even have stores and schools. Archaeology (the study of ancient things) has shown that people who lived in caves worked with tools, created fancy pottery, and even made furniture (one archaeologist found a rock "sofa" in a cave near Jerusalem!). A skeleton found in a cave in Iraq several years ago had undergone surgical amputation of the arm above the elbow—which shows that people who lived in caves were very intelligent.
Third, the Bible explains that people of the past lived in caves for various lengths of time, and for various reasons. Israeli soldiers hid in caves from the Philistines (1 Samuel 14:11). King David hid in a cave (1 Samuel 22:1-2). The prophet Obadiah once hid 100 fellow prophets in a cave so they could escape wicked King Ahab (1 Kings 18:4). Elijah stayed in a cave while fleeing from Ahab’s wife, Jezebel (1 Kings 19:9). After God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot and his daughters "dwelt in a cave" (Genesis 19:30). When the Midianites and the Amalekites drove the Israelites out of their own land (Judges 6:1-2), the people of God lived in caves for a while.
Did people live in caves in the past? Yes. Do some still live in caves today? Yes. What does that mean? It simply means that at times real people live in real caves. But it doesn’t mean that they "evolved" from animals. Don’t be fooled by the evolutionists’ "fake" drawings. People always have been people, and animals always have been animals. That’s the way God created both of them.

in the first place it was not DIRT it's a dust from the ground but not dirt..and if you read the whole passage God himself made the man in HIS own image and likeness, meaning not only the physical aspect but moreso the non physical side of man which is the ability to think, feel (have emotions), have a will, so and so....that's why Bible's version of creation is more believable, the ONLY truth, than other version which came from non sense - baseless fictions..
IF humans evolved from a monkey (whatever specific kind) by this point in time there should be NO monkeys at all, because they already evolved..??? inconsistent "fact" of evolution..
EVEN IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IT, THE TRUTH REMAINS THE TRUTH..

The Christian right are intolerant of free thinkers. They feel they have little or nothing to learn from perspectives other than their own. They wish to raise their children in "closed" sometimes "Anglo only" environments, exposing them as little as possible to the "corrupting" influences of the outside world. Indeed, by isolating their children this way, they pass on their intolerance to their progeny. Music and art to the Christian right must conform to their biblical beliefs. For example, lyrics or art labeled "pornographic," films and/or books that accept, not necessarily promote, homosexuality as an alternative life style are condemned as corrupting influences on youth. The Christian right, almost gratuitously makes homosexuality a rallying point, a way to raise "true believers" in thoughtless, easy condemnation. They readily claim that the country is run by homosexuals and blame them for numerous social ills. To many of the Christian right, AIDS represents God's punishment of homosexuals.
THEIR HATRED ONLY MEANS that they do not understand the true meanings of the bible that they are so fond of quoting and that THEIR attitude can only mean one thing. THAT according to their religion, their behaviour and hatred condemns them and that THEY WILL GO TO THE HELL THAT THEY WISH ON EVERYONE ELSE.

because when you ask Jesus to live in your heart and change you, you don't believe that you evolved from animals. You begin to see and understand, by His word, that He created you and loves you . This world can say what they want, but His Word still stands ...and until we each humble ourselves and lay our pride down, we won't see the Truth.
"The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed life into him & he became a living being." Gen. 1:7
Psalm 139 "For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. " .... actually I would type out all of Psalm 139- because it is awesome!.... : )

because there is no evidence to support evolution. hence the name of evolution ==>(The Theory of Evolution)
but there is scientific evidence that we came from dirt. dirt is like blocks. in the bible it says God spoke us into existance. scientists have recently found that DNA is arrayed in forms, and if put in a larger scale can be seen as words, sentences, and paragraphs of DNA.
dirt basicly represents building blocks.which scientists later found out was true because we are built of cells. and if that isnt enough for ya, dirt could also refer to the atoms.
in the bible, after Adam and Eve sinned. God punished them saying, "From the dirt you rose, to the door you shall return." and when you see a 1000year old guy in a coffin, he is dust and dirt.
we (from the bible) were given "dominion" over the plants and animals. to say that we came from them, is to say we ARE like the animals. thats basicly like saying the master is on the same level as the slave. evolution has the same affect as Buddism in a way, because they both put us on the same standard.
in buddism countrys, you are not allowd you are not allowd to hurt a cow in any way, because they are religious. even if it means turning, starting a car crash, and getting 25 ppl killed. you are not allowd to hurt an animal in any way.

we did not come from dirt. God made us from dirt. there's a big difference. because God, himself, made us. evolution says that we evolved and there is no God. it's impossible for that to happen. i mean like look at everythin that was proven wrong in evolution. all the things don't match!
we believe that God made us from dirt because it is in the Bible. God's Holy Word. and everythin that was tried to be proven wrong about the bible has failed. therefore it must be true. that's y we believe the bible is correct.
There's a huge difference between someone makin us and we made ourselves through time. Creationism says that God created us, while evolution says that we changed ourselves by ourselves. get the difference?
