my cousin is really in pain because the side of her jaw is bothering her. It is swollen and she says she can feel something in there moving. Every time we touch it or put ice on it starts to move around. It hurts hr so much that she started crying. (she is only 11 years old)

Does anyne know what this is? Is it very serious or can it be cured?

Hopefully she gets better because ny uncle might take her to the hospital tomorrow.

Keeping ice on it will keep the swelling down and the infection down also. She must have an infected tooth and, it sounds bad. Although she should get to a doctor they probably won't do anything until the infection is down.
She needs an antibiotic and some pain meds for now, then have the tooth treated. She should never have left the tooth get this far. Remember keep ice on it.

heat then ice. heat for ten min then ice for ten min. she might have a piece of bone that might need to come out. aspirin will help with the swelling and pain but do take her to the hospital it might be more serious then what you think.

It could be a sore tooth, an infection, or a problem with the jaw socket. You don't know until you see a doctor.

she really should go to the hospital tonight. sometimes if you take too long for somethings it cannot be fixed. her jaw may be broken. did she do something to hurt herself? she may have something called TMJ that is when your jaw locks on you and it is very painful.

It's probably and infection. Go to a Dentist, not a Hospital.
