Your dog may have an allergy to something outside.. I have a cat that has sensitive skin/allergies... For the fleas/ticks give them some garlic(chopped from a jar, or fresh not powder).. not too much at a time, but garlic kills them off/keeps them away(home remedy). Also try a bath every couple months with flea/tick shampoo, your vet will be able to tell you which shampoo is best especially if the dog does have sensitive skin so really talk to your vet, tell them about the symtoms, etc and see what he thinks could be causing it,or if there is anything that will help, but I do reccomend giving your dog garlic to keep away fleas, and ticks.. Its too strong for the insects to take it so they stay away, my aunt did this with her dog, and he never got fleas, etc because of it(she cooked mostly garlicy foods, and they used to feed the dog some of the human food.. lol. then realized it was because of the garlic the dog never got fleas)There is something online about it too, I cant remember what the webpage was but it was on home remedies for animals so you can search for it, and check it out it may even have options for bath substitutes. I think once you get rid of the whole flea/tick problem the dog will stop licking itself, and everything so much..

Ewww, yuck. 'Too many ticks' - one tick is too many!

Fleas and ticks are easily treatable and preventable so there's no excuse for this really. Please get some Frontline from your vet - this treats and prevents fleas and ticks and can be bought as a 'spot-on' preparation - drops to go on the skin at the back of the neck. Needs to be used every 4-6 weeks to keep your poor dog from scratching so much.

Please do not bother with any 'home remedies' or petshop stuff. It doesn't work, so you'll end up spending more money than if you just go straight for the vet stuff.

if you let him inside he probably wouldnt have as many ticks. does he/she have fleas bad too? well.....when i was younger i had 2 dogs that during the summer they would itch so bad that they had big bald spots on their butt from them biting, it was because of their allergies/fleas. what you should do is take your dog to the vet and get him dipped for fleas/ticks and ask them about a flea & tick repelant that they should have (i'm not sure how much it costs.) you put it on their skin between their shoulder blades. hope that helps!

TREAT him 4 ticks. IF you have a problem take him to the vet.

Buy shampoo with tick and flea or parasites buster. don't ignore those ticks, it multiply too fast, and your dog will suffer, please if you love your dog, buy and bathe him/her immediately.
