There is a girl I talk to at a coffee bar. Over the past few weeks we've gotten to know each other fairly well. In past conversations she told me things like she was born and raised in Berlin, she speaks 4 languages, her mother is Croatian (so is my grandmother). Yesterday I was in and didn't notice her in the back, I paid and as I was walking out she ran to the side of the counter and said "Hey Buddy" and we talked a little while.
She told me her birthday is coming up in a few weeks.
I would really like to ask her to lunch or dinner and get to know her better, but I don't think it would be appropriate to ask her in front of her coworkers. Also, she called me buddy, which has me thinking that she may just see me as a friend...or maybe she couldn't remember my name. What do you think? What should I do?

ask her out to dinner to get to know her better... why dont you send her flower to work with a note (her name) will your join me for dinner. buddy
go all out for her make that night stay with her and with you forever... when is her bday.......i hope i have help levae a message telling us what your going to plan for a special night for her.......if u need more help just leave a message

Well you say you've been talking for the past couple of weeks and have gotten to know each other fairly well.. and if she cant remember your name then something or someone else might be going on in her life.. or that just might be a pet name she had given you.. but "Buddy" dosnt sound very romantic to me.. or.. mabe she just wants to be friends... the only way you will ever know is to ASK her.. shes not just going to come out and tell you.. she cant read your mind.. talk to her, ask her.. its the only way you will know..

just ask. it would not do you any harm.
the thing is to ask her casually, as if you are asking a friend for dinner or lunch.
you also have to ask yourself whether you like her enough to be in a relationship with her, if you are , then ask her how she feels about you during dinner.

Wait just a little bit longer... sometimes girls call guys "buddy" because they don't want to "rush" things.
