How many people have recently had there accounts terminated right before you got to level six?

Question

It just happened to me a little bit ago, and there are those of you who be sorry for me, and others who will gloat, and others who won't care one way or another. That is okay, but the worst part is not losing all my points and having to start all over. The worst part is that the man I love said goodbye to me the other night, and those emails that he had sent me, and I had sent him, are all I had to remember him by!

Has this happened to you?

Thanks all, the worst part is not having to start all over with a new name on answers, even though that is bad enough, the worst part is losing all my email. I may look into a different email account. I don't think this is at all fair. Even if I did commit a legitimate violation, they should not have taken my email account too! The punishment just does not fit the crime!

That is a great idea! And that is a dumb reason. I don't think I was terminated for a good reason either. I kind of feel like I have lost my whole life

Destiny, when I complained before, about simple violation notices, I got no response at all. I have only had about three or four prior violations, but only one of those times did they actually tell me why. My account was only terminated very early this morning, but I have already tried to contact YA and I can not see any way of being able to post my own question on forum. I could only see other questions, and how to reply to them

I'm almost to level 6, and had my account suspended for some silly innocent question. I emailed them, pleading with them to reinstate it since it was an innocent joke, and I meant no harm. They listened and reinstated it the next day. Try emailing them.

My son had 3 or 4 emails accounts with Yahoo, when they terminated his account for Yahoo Answers, they de-activated ALL his email accounts also. Apparently any account linked to your ISP gets terminated.

No, this has not happened to me. But, I'm truly sorry that happened to you sweetie !! Maybe you should make a complaint....

EDIT : What did they say when you complained before ? And how long ago was your account terminated ? Maybe the things you lost (for ex. the emails) are still somewhere in the database. Maybe if you get ahold of someone that is willing to help, they can get those things back for you.

Get a hot mail account just in-case yahoo does it again. If it makes you feel any better, I got into trouble for telling someone that they need to learn how to spell. Isn't that a stupid reason?

I'm sorry you lost you emails. Yahoo should suggest using your main account for personal email and creating another specifically for Q&A's. My primary account has my real name and this one is just used here, if I lose it no biggie.

I have had a couple suspended. I do not trust Yahoo for email for that reason.

I have 2 accounts suspended before but they were nowhere near where i'm now.
