I want to be a wedding photographer...I was wondering if someone could point me the right way. Like what equipment I will need(camera, etc.)? What is good software to enhance and change the pics? What are some good books to help get me started?
Thanks

At least you're planning ahead!

The best way to become a wedding photographer is to assist an established pro for a season or two. Of course, books won't hurt. Also, google wedding photography and cruise websites to see examples of what the pros are doing.

You will need at least two complete camera setups, including bodies, fast zoom lenses, flashes, brackets, synch cords, lots of memory and batteries. You will need Adobe Photoshop. You will need to be completely familiar with every aspect of using your equipment. If you can't nail a jpeg straight out of the camera every shot, then you will need to develop a RAW workflow.

Aside from photographic skill and good equipment, wedding photographers need to have business skills and most of all, people skills. To be successful, you have to have the kind of persona that brides want to spend their most important day with.

Good luck!

I love to become a wedding photographer too. I bought a camera and printer first, and then I practise at some of my friends's wedding to have more experience, you can get books for photographers in book store.
