Mormon's are so full of lies, secrets, prejudicism. If a person were to investigate whole heartedly, they would discover this and so much more. Even right down to a bloody past. We don't need such as this running our country! Why do you think they did not call themselves CHRISTIANS until recently?

I almost Forgot......They also teach that only the mormons will go to heaven. And if you are good enough you too will be come a GOD or a GODESS. I don't know about anyone else but I do know my BIBLE teaches that there is but ONE GOD, THERE ARE NONE BEFORE HIM, NOR WILL THERE BE AFTER HIM

If you are confident enough in your own beliefs, then you will have no problem with reading some other analyses of your faith, such as the items shown below.

Is Mormonism Christian?:

There are many members of religious groups that have staked their eternal souls on their beliefs without searching the scriptures and reviewing the doctrinal writings of church leaders to satisfy themselves that what they have been told is sufficiently rational and worth believing. Don’t let yourself be one of these persons. Ask your ward leadership about the things that you have read above. See if they are willing to enter into an honest and frank discussion about these matters versus telling you to avoid readings outside of your own faith. If they do the latter, such a dismissal of honest inquiry should be an alarm bell for you.

Ok...the bible teaches that only christians will go to heaven. So if the mormon religion says that God was once a man, that would be correct. God was Jesus the son of God.

What's all this about mormons running the country?

An interview with a famous sort of mormon

Question: "Don't Mormons believe that God was once a man?"

Hinckley: "I wouldn't say that. There was a little couplet coined, "As man is, God once was. As God is, man may become." Now that's more of a couplet than anything else."
- Interviewing Gordon B. Hinckley, San Francisco Chronicle, April 13, 1997, p 3/Z1

A bloody history, huh? Yeah. Part of that was Haun's Mill. What of that, Bonnie? How about Carthage Jail? And Liberty Jail? Was is a good thing that the jailers in Liberty Jail attempted to feed Joseph Smith human flesh? They did this...

So if you'd like to investigate wholeheartedly, you might do so with people who will tell you the whole story about Mormonism.

Meanwhile, it never ceases to surprise me about you born-agains who claim to be Christians...but are so un-Christ-like.

What's everyone's beef with us Mormons?

I'm not going to get into this too deep simply because it's not worth my time, but what I will say is; is what does calling themselves Christians or not have to do with anything? It's a label like the logo on the tag of your shirt.

I know next to nothing about the Mormon religion. But I do know two families who are Mormon and they are the nicest people you could ever meet.

So, I really don't care what they believe or don't believe. How, for example, do you know that god wasn't once a man? It seems an odd thought to me but I can't prove it one way or the other.

I was aware of that and I also found the one thing that God doesn't know in Isaiah - HIS EQUAL. That means there is one God - not one God with whom we have to do.
Mormonism has received a major facelift by the spin doctors over the last 40 years at least to make it more easy to associate with.

We do believe, through modern revelation, that God our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have perfected, exalted bodies of flesh and bone...we are afterall "made" in our Father's image.
D&C 130:22
22 The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.

As children of God, we have a special relationship with Him, setting us apart from all His other creations. We should seek to know our Father in Heaven. He loves us, and He has given us the precious opportunity to draw near to Him as we pray. Our prayers, offered in humility and sincerity, are heard and answered.
We can also come to know our Father by learning about His Beloved Son and applying the gospel in our lives. The Savior taught His disciples: "If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also. . . . He that hath seen me hath seen the Father" (John 14:7, 9).
We draw near to God the Father as we study the scriptures and the words of latter-day prophets and as we give service. When we follow God's will and live as He would have us live, we become more like Him and His Son. We prepare ourselves to return to live in Their presence.

Good point I love it how a few men like Joseph Smith and Brigham young can twist the christian faith and fool millions into paying ten percent of their salary so the fat prophet (profit) gets fat and the church spreads its claws throughout the land. SHows how gullible the human race can be I reckon. I believe in God and Jesus but not the one from the Mormon faith. PLease feel free to contact me and discuss why I am so wrong, mormons.

I'm a Mormon and let me tell you that there is a lot that you are missing. As for being called Christians, that is not something recent. Mormons have always been Christians. Have you done any research on the humanitarian aid that they provide?
