whats so bad about a 16 y/o wanting to be with a guy whos a little older. they are so much more mature, much better kissers, and can drive and spend more money. I dont see why parents make such a big deal. he is so hot and I dont see it as a big deal

I was just like you when I was 16. I ended up marrying someone who was 8 yrs older than me!(Thank God Im not with him anymore). He was a complete know it all! He controlled me to the point where he was telling me what and when to eat. He was more like a father than my man. He was abusive and jealous and just cruel!
I want to tell you to please be careful. Not all older men are this way but just be careful because there are some men that chose young girls just so they can control them and mold them the way they want them to be. How much older is he?

I really don't see a problem with it but just remember, older men means more experienced! They probably have already been around the block so they know things that you haven't experienced yet. Some men use that as an advantage. And they know they can use their cars and money to get young girls...so just be careful. Don't let anyone use you and take away your innocence and Im not talking about your virginity but Im talking about your inner being. You're young so make sure you're doing good in school and putting the important things first. I screwed up in school, missed prom, got pregnant too early and was very depressed because my ex...who had money and cars and his own place had me brainwashed! So don't let the material things cloud your judgement. I've been there, done that! :) I wish I had've listened to my dad when he tried to warn me.

parents are usually skeptical because at your age, you don't have a lot of life experience to talk about, and thus, they think that the boy is only looking for some hot tail, which, granted, 80% they are just looking for a new piece of ace. Sure, the guy might be genuine, but your parents don't know for sure, they don't know the guy like you do, they just know the age. So, as long, at your age, that the guy is NO OLDER than 21, than you're good. if he's older than that, he's in it for only 1 single thing, period, guaranteed, 100%, without a doubt.

There's no problem with dating older guys. I like older guys(2-3 yrs older) and guys who are the same as my age. Guys who have the same age as me would be perfect, because at our age level, we would have a lot more in common. And older guys are better than younger guys because they know about responsibilities and most of the guys have matured. I dont like younger guys because i feel that they cannot match my maturity level.

I think your parents are afraid of you going out with older guys who might go out drinking a lot and having sex. When you get older, age wont matter as much. But you're still a kid now, so the ages do matter, especially when you're going out with an adult.

To begin with, there are laws against younger girls having sex with older guys. The guys get the penalty. As far as maturity goes, you're right. Also, girls tend to mature faster than guys so during the teen years, many girls prefer older men. It evens out in the 20s, however, And, of course, some guys are more mature than others, and some girls are less mature than others. That evens out also. The nice thing about all of it is that we will get older, no matter what we do...so sooner or later you're going to be going out with guys who are older than you are right now. Just have fun.

to handle a serious relationship. It takes alot of maturity on

haha my bf is 5 yrs older than me, and its perfect. he's mature sufficient, and at situations, more advantageous mature than me. hes somewhat more advantageous life-experienced than me, and he's more advantageous smart than me besides, so im continuously studying from him. i appreciate how he teaches me issues, yet under no circumstances tries to make me sense stupid. he's continuously searching for me, and he's were given sufficient love journey to know a thanks to thrill and take care of a female. he's very preserving of me, and also has those moments the position he's like a huge brother too. for sure, there are the days even as he's little brotherish to me haha., i imagine a guy being with a woman 5 years youthful than him is a perfect journey! he recollects issues that i dont from the previous, yet he replaced into nonetheless youthful sufficient that as little ones, we loved an similar issues too.

You must know why...You didn't even mention his age...They know stuff and forse stuff on younger girls because they are thinking of themselves...If you read these blogs or speak to any friends of yours with an older guy, you can see they will always defend the guy before themselves...This is because experience harms the youth and older men when girls are young are usually perverds and wan't to be the first one to have sex with the young or get them to experiment. Older is bad news until you are an older adult....

You sound very shallow and materialistic to me. My question to you is, what you offer an older guy? (If he is over the age of 18 it is illegal for him to date you and your parents can have him arrested and tried and if convicted put on the sex-offenders list for life AND charged as a felon)

I agree with you, though unless he is like 3 or 4 years... that's a little old.
My boyfriend is 19, im 17... we've been together like two years.
