God may have put the oil in the ground for human to use but I don't think we are supposed to use it the way we are and at the rate we are. Going to an alternative energy source, even renewable source is not the answer either. Keyword - environmental footprint.

Crude oil is a natural process of decaying matter and gas combinations. It simple is there. How we use the natural resources in the earth in up to man. However I do not believe that it being there helps or hinders the earth. Other planets do not have the same deposits of gases, liquids, and solids that earth does and they function.

I don't think that "god put the oil in the earth". It's there as the result of natural processes that occurred over millions of years. It's not there for any particular purpose.

Oil wasn't placed in the ground. It took millions of years to change from vegetation to oil. This happened long before humans created god.

Oil comes from dinosaurs, or, at least, from the decomposition of organic (i.e., formerly living) materials--hence the term "fossil fuels".

It's there for man to use. It has no use in nature. Oil is replaced (mostly by water) by other substances when it is pumped out of the ground. If it wasn't for our use, we wouldn't be using it.
