for a couple months my left wrist has been hurting me off and on, and it was usually just if i put a lot of pressure on it. but for the past couple days it has been constantly hurting and almost any movement/pressure on it makes it worse. i do type quite a bit, and i play volleyball. i used to have a habit of leaning on that wrist a lot, too. the pain feels kind of in the center of my wrist, a little more towards the top. WHAT COULD IT BE??

It doesn't sound like Carpal Tunnel. Usually Carpal tunnel would be accompanied by a sharp pain that travels up through your arm, as well as a numbness or lack of sensitivity in parts of your arm and hand.

If wearing a wrist bandage type of thing (not sure what it's called) with a metal or plastic that will keep your wrist straight helps with the pain than yes you probably do have carpal tunnel.

Sounds a bit like overuse syndrome. If you had carpal tunnel you'd have tingling and numbness in the 3 outer fingers. Have to consult your doc and get onto anti inflammatories.

Sounds like it. If you get any numbness or tingling with it, then I would say that it's definetly carpal tunnel. I'd see a doctor ASAP before it develops into something more such as tendonitis or arthritis.

It could also be tennis elbow also known as tendonitis. Inflamation of a tendon(s). Rest and anti-inflamatories, ie: Motrin, is about your best shot. I would still check it out with a doctor.
