The relationship with God or a higher power is a personal relationship. Think of Church as a school. many people go to church and yet do not have a close relationship with god, they have close relationship with their church. It truly comes down to what manner in which you live your life. Do you uphold the principles of spirituality? Obviously no one is perfect, but the relationship you have with "God" is about you and what you do.

Yes you can and should. Church is a place where you go to praise God with other people and further your learning and share your experiences. This is not the only place for worshiping. You should talk to God everyday at home, in your car, or wherever you feel comfortable. It is very important to have a relationship with God outside of church.

The Creative Energy, is not limited by church walls....the source of life is everywhere.
Each person has a unique relationship with God. There should be no reason to enter a building to find God.

Absolutely you can have a relationship without going to church. Consider the small tribes of believers in third world countries. They don't have churches as we do and their just as saved as we are. Not only that, but scripture does not teach that church is mandatory. Although going to church does (hopefully in most cases) encourage believers and gives them a chance to share with other Christians the life being lived in Christ Jesus.

Yes you can have a relationship with God without going to church. The only thing that you will be missing out on is Christian friends. We are told to not forsake the assemblying of ourselves.

Yes.
1.Tim. 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
The mediator is not Pope, not church.

Keeping it in mind that the church is more than just a physical building -- and that GOD is a spirit, we worship him in spirit and in truth -- church attendance has a place in our proper acknowledgement of GOD. "The just shall live by faith." To live by faith is to continue in a lifestyle that is determined through trust and belief focused upon the revelation and instruction that come forth from GOD. The doctrines and teachings that come to us as Christians center in the establishment of a new relationship to GOD through a collective reality that goes beyond that of covenant, "the kingdom of heaven." The importance of this principle (i.e., that the things of GOD are accomplished among men through their interdependence and shared reality) is starkly illustrated in the Bible by the account of the man who gathered sticks for firewood on the Sabbath day, and the account of Moses intervening on behalf of Israel. In direct disregard of the laws that were spoken to the people by GOD himself as a condition of relationship, this man "worked" on the Sabbath, and was condemned to death. His "capital crime" was the undermining of law and faith. When the children of Israel disobeyed GOD and rebelled against the leadership of Moses, GOD declared he would destroy them all, however, he would keep Moses, and exalt Moses and his family. Moses refused to be so honored and so privileged, and prayed for mercy to all. (Such actions and attitudes in support of unity are familar to many of us as Americans. Recall Ben Franklin's famous quip urging solidarity among the Founding Fathers saying, in effect, "we must all hang together, or we will surely all be hung one by one!") GOD had to repeat this idea to Israel many times -- the same way we repeat "Say 'Ma Ma!' " and "Say 'Da Da!' " before the little ones first speak and then really catch on applying the right word exclusively to the correct person. Many repetitions and reinforcements are needed to come into full maturity, and right understanding. The church is to make understandable and visible the things that are otherwise unknowable and invisible because they are spiritual (not material) in their make up and substance. The church as a community of like believers is as important to supplying structure and realizing the true reality of GOD for individual believers as parents and caretakers are for nourishing and protecting a newborn child.
Grow in grace.

Most definitely... it's probably the best kind of relationship you can have with God by not adhering to any man-made doctrines.
