You know that anorexia can hurt your body - can kill you. This sounds like a plea for help, and you first realize that weight itsnt everything and get a better self image. Tell your parents, or join an online support group, and you will hav people to guide you through losing weight the healthy way, if you even need to. I've been there too and you just have to know once you start you cannot stop. Think about the people you will be hurting. First get a healthy mindset before you seek a more healthy body.

this is a loaded question and i hope i can answer it well. i am anorexic and it is a SCARY disease. the cause of anorexia is, as of now, dependent on the person. for me, my anorexia was caused by predisposition to the disease (3 aunts and my mother struggled with it) and loss (my best friend passed away) between those things and being teased for being chubby when i was younger pushed me over the edge. there is research going on in an attempt to figure out a medical reason for anorexia. they believe that it could be chemical imbalances. anorexia is treated in a few different ways. first of all, if the person is underweight, they are sent to an inpatient or residential facility to regain the weight until it is considered healthy and the body regains stability. after that, they often see nutritionists, and almost always, a therapist. therapy is important. there is also often a psychiatrist involved. the psych is to medicate- if the disease is partially caused by chemical imbalances, the medication will help to push recovery, but it will NEVER "recover" someone. we feel the need to starve ourselves almost for the same reason a drug addict can't stop- it's exhilarating, and it's a high. we starve ourselves because we want to cause ourselves pain as punishment, are used to pain, or feel the need to be perfect. it is RARELY ever because they believe they are unhealthily fat. even if the person is overweight, the reason we starve ourselves instead of losing weight healthily is NOT because we are fat. it's just the way the underlying issues are manifested. i hope this helped. if you know someone that is struggling with anorexia, the best thing to do is just LISTEN!

There are PLENTY of other, safe ways to lose weight.

I starting suffering from anorexia and the age of 12. I was hopitalized for years with a feeding tube up my nose to pump nutrition into my stomach because I was so bad.

*I have no perphiral vision because the muscle deterioration from malnutrition destoyed my eyes.
*I already have osteroporosis, and I've fractured my spine twice. There was nothing in my body so I couldn't build up bone and was deficient in many minerals.
*My periods were so messed up, I had other gyn issues and had to have a complete hysterectomy...at age 24.
*I did so much damage to my heart they thought I had a heart attack when I was 16. I still have to monitor it and take medication to get it to work all of the time! (Read about Karen Carpenter)
*I still have relapses. I suffer from migraines a lot as well.

DO NOT start this. I have all of these problems...and I am only 27 years old.

Get help and come up with a reasonable diet plan! You CAN do it!

you can permanently retard the endocrine system for the lifespan. some girls from my high school were/are anorexic, today (21 years later) all of them are not very healthy. one can't even hold a job because she suffers from severe depression.

if you are trying to beat this thing by yourself I wouldn't advise it. you need to get some counseling by professionals. don't worry nobody will be mad at you
