I was riding home from work with a friend the other night and she got pulled doing 77 in a 55. She was listening to music and singing along because it had been a stressful night at work. When the policeman came to the car, he asked for the usual and her excuse for going 77 was she just got off work and didn't realize it. He also made a compliment that she gave him evidence that she was off her provisional license and was the first to do that the entire night. He gave her a verbal warning and told her to drive home safely.

I claimed that the reason she got a warning was because she didn't have any points on her license and made the officer happy by the card with proof. She claimed it was because she's an attractive female.

So is there any legitimate proof that shows that females get out of tickets easier?

Attitude means everything, and so does the violation. It doesn't make any difference who, or what you are. NOW, let me tell a true story. A Police Officer was at a party, and overheard a female talking about how stupid the male Police were, and how easy it was to get out of a ticket. She said, all you have to do is unbutton your blouse a little bit, raise your skirt , smile, and flirt. It worked every time. Sadly, from that point on, that Officer never gave another woman a pass. I didn't agree with what he was doing, but I guess some Officers can be as bitter toward the public, as some people can be toward the Police.

Yes, with exceptions. A serious, flagrant violation is going to get you a ticket, no matter how cute you are. Let's take speeding tickets. I wrote anyone going 10 mph over the limit, no exceptions. 5 to 10 mph over the limit would get you stopped for a warning. Like a good many cops I based the decision to warn or to ticket on demeanor. Most women will not give the cop a hard time and that gets them out of a lot of tickets. I ticketed many a man who simply talked themselves into a ticket. Wanna cuss me out? Fine, here's your $100 speeding ticket.

Yes we do, and I am personally very happy. A couple of years ago (when I was young and irresponsible) I drove a car I had just bought out to a night club. The car still had Florida plates (i do not live in Florida). I was pulled over for illegal tint. When the officer asked me for registration, insurance, or proof of purchase, i couldn't produce anything. He let me go if I promised to take care of it on Monday. OH I LOVE BEING A GIRL!

Maybe just attractive females...

I'm female and have only gotten a warning once. Then again, I've never been "much to look at" and have been too busy living to spend time making myself "much to look at."

On the other hand, I've got an oversized conscience and have never felt a need to "get out of" a ticket I deserved (which accounts for just about all of them).

It may be proof with that cop...but maybe not the next.

Normally, 22 over warrants a ticket, regardless of your record. Usually the cop would write it as only 5 over, but still give the citation.

I've done 15 over, got stopped by CHP. No ticket. And that time I was fully prepared to accept my fate - since I'd gotten out of so many others.

I was polite, and somehow - no ticket.

And actually since then, I set cruise to no more than about 5 over. That way I probably won't get pulled over again....

Regardless of what the cops says , in reality, they tend to give the young good looking gal more breaks than they deserve.

I think that they do. It might have to do with looks or charm, but I believe alot of it has to do with the whole big brother/protector thing.....Good young men were raised to respect women at all times, and I think that some...not all....actually feel bad writing a female a ticket.....especially when they look or act stressed.

Chivalry is not dead.......

I don't know, but there are plenty of theories that people who do not mouth off to the police are more likely to be given a break.
