Abortion is a medical procedure that should only be discussed between the woman and her doctor. I have no right to infringe in her privacy. I would not want anyone to violate my rights and tell me what to do with my body. I have no right taking away a female's rights, born or unborn.

But I am AGAINST abortion. I totally despise abortion and if I were a woman would never have one. BUT then again I am not a woman and would never know how it is to be one and will NOT JUDGE the circumstances of their abortion: whether they were raped, whether the pregancy will hurt her and the child's health or whatever, that is NOT my business. It is a medical procedure btwn her and her doc.

I am not pretentious enough to think that others cannot think for theirselves to be morally right. I have belief in other people and the choices they make.
So in conclusion I am pro choice, since Jesus said not to judge... but AGAINST abortion. Does that make sense?

It makes all the sense in the world. I wish I could have put it so eloquently. I feel much the same way. I do not hate abortion; I simply do not like people who have an abortion and still use no protection, then have another. I believe our children should be well-educated about sex and it's consequences.

I am 100% pro-choice.

I believe it's absolutely possible....because i hold the same beliefs. I am a woman. I say that I would NEVER have an abortion. But I've never been put in the position to have to make a choice either. And I won't judge someone who has made that choice. I don't believe that abortion should be used as a form of birth control.By that, I mean that to do it again and again is wrong. But there are times when it may be an option.

I can kind of see where you are coming from. I mean, I don't agree with abortion but I totally agree that its not my place to tell another what to choose or do with their body. If someone asked me I would tell them all the reasons that I don't think they should do it, but they have the free will to make the choice on their own. And even if we make it illegal that only means that the Dr's. that do it will be doing it on the side and possibly in unsafe conditions. Some will agree and some will disagree. This is simply an opinion.

And as for people like this:

"Abortions are murder.
There isn't any other way to look at it.
Sorry.
Not judging.
Still against it.
God will judge them one day. "
(As Quoted from poster above)

This is why so many women who have had an abortion have a difficult time coming to God and asking for forgiveness, because there a certain self righteous people who are going to make them feel that they are NEVER forgiven, you know the whole "GOD WILL JUDGE THEM ONE DAY"!!!!! Wow that's harsh, how do you know that they haven't already gone to God with the remorse for what they have done...or do you know????? Yeah "no judging" I can tell!

Absolutely. Often people make the mistake of equating "pro-choice" with "pro-abortion." NO ONE is pro-abortion, so I'd really like it if that misconception would go away! Being pro-choice is exactly how you described yourself: personally, you would not choose a behavior but believe everyone should be able to make their own decision on what is right for them. Lots of people have different ideas & stances on the abortion issue and are still pro-choice.

On the other end of the spectrum, people who are anti-choice believe something is wrong regardless of what someone else thinks of feels is right for their own life or situation. They try to limit or eliminate said person's control over what they can choose. This isn't just about abortion: it's about access to birth control and medically acurate information, too.

When it comes down to it, we all want the same thing: to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies so we can avoid being in the position to make the choice whether or not to have an abortion in the first place. The sticky part is when it comes to what strategies we use to reach this goal: one camp goes for science & research based approaches & another focuses on idealism.

I myself do believe in the Lord Almighty, but i do believe that he will forgive you if you are truly sorry. I also believe that if you took every precaution to prevent pregnancy, and still bacame pregnant then you should do what it is that is right for you! I had been told by a very dear friend(God rest her soul) that if you took every precaution you already knew that you did not want a child, and could not financially bring a child into this world, then what kind of life would it have anyway? It is a tuff call. I think it all comes down to this do not use abortion as a form of birth control, there are so many forms of birth control these day's on the market by prescription of course, that if you are so naieve to still become pregnant, you are ignorant and you deserve to suffer the consquences. If you do not want the child make someone else the parents and give that child a well deserved life of happiness and Love that it deserves! If you are not responsible enough to not get pregnant, then you are not responsible enough or deserve the right of the Love from that child!

Yes, Everyone has a choice, but abortion should not be a form of birth control. Birth control is preventing a pregnancy to not occur. Abortion is terminating a pregnacy that has already occured. BIG difference. When is it considered a murder and when not?
I saw a medical program about an abortion on a fetus, They used a camera inside the uterus to film it. That small completely formed human being struggled hard to avoid being torn from the womb. It made me cry.
They should show it to every woman who's considering abortion. It would change their minds I think.

Yes. A lot of people thing that pro-choice means that we think it is OK to use it as a form of birth control and that we have no compassion for the child. We have compassion for the woman first. I acknowledge that abortion is a terrible thing. I don't know what I would do if I were a young woman and a rape victim. I would think that it would be a merciful government that would allow me to make that decision myself.

It does make sense. I too feel that abortion is a choice that, thank god I've never been a postition to have to make. Also, in some cases, like if my baby was going to cause me to die, I think I would have to have it abort it. However, the idea of aborting my baby seems sort of repulsive. Of course I'm not homeless, or poor, or on crack, was raped, or my life in danger, ect. I might make another choice if these were the options.

Yes. Pro-choice is exactly what you are. You don't judge a woman for getting one, you advocate people having control over their own bodies and you don't attempt to force your own morality on other people.

Nobody is actually FOR abortion. Not even atheist, liberal feminists like me would advocate the procedure as a wonderful thing.

Your position absolutely makes sense. Thank you for your nuanced approach.

It makes perfect sense, you are chickenshit. You condone what you know to be wrong, which makes you worse than someone who is "pro-choice" and Pro-abortion. rightfully or wrongly at least their intentions are good an conscience clear.

What you are saying make s as much sense as a 18th century Northerner claiming "I am against slavery, but that is a personal decision and a states rights issue" The great compromise the great cop out.
