yesterday i was eating at a resturant and i heard someone say they were going to start this child photo contest. they were saying people can go and vote for the cutiest kid and you have to pay enter your child.And free to vote. the winner would get half on the profit, but had to have a paypal account so no one had to give their address. Would you enter your child? Do you think it would be safe? (since you have to use a paypal account)

nope, for a couple reasons, I don't trust anything on the internet that I am not 100% sure about, we had all of our money taken from our account when I gave my info on line. Second, I don't believe in putting children in competions that include looks. Competitions that are for sports and things that help build self esteem is okay, but when it is based on looks, I think our society puts too much pressure already.

Actually Paypal is very safe, I use it on a regular basis. I am not sure that I would feel comfortable signing up for a contest where I didn't have the rules, or anything like that. Sometimes places that offer contests will allow themselves in the "restrictions' to take your childs photo and use it for their own use. Maybe on a billboard or on an ad, however you don't see any of that money because you already gave permission on the contest. I would definatly read up on it before entering your childs photo into anything. Take Care!

Im not so sure about that. I think you should find out more about the contest before you decided to enter your kid. Make sure to read the fine print also if your going to use a paypal.

It sounds like a scam to me. Then again, I'm wicked paranoid. :)
I wouldn't pay to enter my child in any contest because it sounds fishy, just in general. I also am leary of anyone who wants pictures of my child. It could be legit, but I'm much more likely to believe someone is trying to scam me, or that I'm dealing with a pedophile.
What can I say, becoming a mother has made me a very paranoid, suspicious woman. :) I can't help it.

paypal is a very safe thing. I might enter a child but I would look into who is sponsoring the contest.

i would not enter my child. that kind of beauty contest stuff is so stupid and i think i really just messes up your kids.
