John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Personally, I'm an ex-Christian who is an atheist (and most atheists know the bible pretty well).

I'd read it again, but it's such a crappy book.

John 3:16. quoted 17 for God sent forth his son into the world. Not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him. 18 He that exercises faith in him isnot to be judged. He that does not exercise faith has been judged already.
If you don't exercise faith, don't think it is a good thing.

...except for Jews, Pagans, Atheists, Agnostics, homosexuals, women who make choices about their own bodies, Bill Clinton, Muslims, Liberals, and "evolutionists".

Am I right? Am I? Am I? I'm sure I missed a few but I tried. Isn't that what your religion is all about? How narcissistic of your God to need our belief or he'll send us straight to hell.

Happy Spring!

I absolutely love that verse! John 3:16 tells a lot. When I get feeling like no one cares about me I think of that verse. God loved me so much he died for me. That makes me feel pretty special!!

I've always been curious abou that sentence since so many christian seems to believe it implies that those that don't beleive in him won't have eternal life. In fact it says nothing whatsoever about those that don't believe in him.
