I don't believe that Jesus ever gave any indication that the practices that he embraced (the law of Moses, Kashrut law, etc. ) would no longer be necessary. Jesus teachings and actions were most certainly Jewish in nature (even if they were sometimes unorthodox). I think that you hit the nail on the head in saying that Paul is the one who took it upon himself to attempt to abolish the necessity of the laws of Moses. Jesus practiced them from earliest childhood until the day he died. Just look at what he was doing on the night of his arrest.... He was participating in the passover Seder. I'd say that's a pretty strong indication that he kept with his Jewish upbringing and traditions his whole life.

Why is relevant whether Jesus was or not raised as a Jew? didn't the Jews conspired to crucified him because he did not preached as a Jew? If Jesus disappeared as an infant and came back 33 yrs later, how can anybody believe today he was raised as a Jew? If he was really the "Son of God", if he had a special mission to fulfill, quite different than what the Jews represented and believed at the time; and further more, if this was known by people around him and long before he was born, as it had been demonstrated in the scriptures, isn't logical that he was raised accordingly to what he was believed to be? I'll tell you something else, religious believes ARE NOT a matter of blood lines. A person is not a Jew, Christian or whatever, just because his or her parents belongs to any particular religion, if the person chooses to have a different believe. Judaism is not a race, just like any other religions are not races. Religion is a matter of mental conditioning, and not really a DNA reality.

Yes, Jesus said He did not come to abolish the Law, but fulfill the Law. There are scriptures in the Old Testament which point to a better way of life for the believer. For example, the sacrificial offering system of bulls, goats, and lambs all pointed to Christ. But now that Christ has come there is no longer a need to offer those sacrifices because Jesus is the fulfillment of the symbolic things. Under the Law certain animals were considered unclean and forbidden. But now that Jesus has came and made of holy through His blood, all things are holy for us. When God made the pig it was a holy animal, But it was sin under Adam which made it's nature unclean. Now, that we are free from sin, we are no longer bound by the regulation of the Law. We are restored and walk in the freedom Adam had in the beginning. Remember, Peter saw a sheet descend from heaven with all manner of animals on it and told Peter get up, kill and eat. Peter's response was that these animals are unclean. God responded to do not call anything unholy which I have made holy. All things are restored for the believer just like in the beginning. Anything or animal which comes into our presence can be made holy or consecrated through thanksgiving and prayer.

The fact that Jesus died as the 'perfect lamb' on the cross is the reason why the laws of the Old Testament were cancelled out. In the days of old, Jews would have to sacrifice a specific animal for a specific sin. When Christ gave his life on the cross, He took all sin down with Him. (The Gospels mention him becoming sin itself. That is why he yells, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?" Also, it is why He says, "It is finished." right before He dies. This means that all of our sins were taken on him. This is because Christ was sin - and God could no longer look on His face.)
The best part came three days later when Jesus - not sin - walked out of the tomb! He's Alive! Amen!

When Jesus died on the cross all the old laws of the Jews were done away with and Christianity started. That is why Jesus died for us. Before Christianity you could not be forgiven for your sins. You could only roll them forward once a year. Read the Old Testamernt. To be a true practicing Jew there are 914 laws.

He did not come to change the law of Moses but to fulfill the law. He had to sweat blood for our sins then be killed for no reason to extend grace and be resurrected. A lot of difference in the law of Moses and the higher law Jesus gave with the sacrifice of his blood. The law of Moses was to help the Jews prepare to receive the higher law Of the Son of God before his atonement was given. In fact the animal sacrifices that were done before Jesus were a testimony of his sacrifice to come.

Jesus was not only raised a Jew(religion) He is also of Jewish ethnicity. Paul did not change it Jesus did.
18And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
19Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Acts 10: 9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

it was not Paul but Peter who had the vision from God concerning the dietary law. See Acts Ch apt 10.... It was God who gave the vision.
edit: dispite responses above... Jesus was, in the mortal flesh, a Jew. He was king of The Jews... until the founding of The Church the only way to God was to become a Jew... Jesus was very strict in keeping The Law. He was The Only one who ever kept it perfectly. He was without sin.

He did not come to abolish the law, he came to fulfill it. The Jews should well know that they were waiting for a perpetual sacrifice. The entire law was waiting for Christ.
"You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me and have life" John 5:39

Romans 11. God saw that after Jesus was sacrificed for sins He would move into the Gentile world. In Acts God gave a vision to Peter to kill and eat the unclean things he saw on the sheet 3 times. God told Peter don't call unclean what He calls clean. God wanted to use the Gentiles to cause jealousy to the Jews for salvation. Thus the analogy of the olive tree in Romans. Jesus is the root (of Jesse) and we (Gentiles) are grafted in unless we don't produce the oil (balm) God is looking for to draw all men to himself. Jesus made entrance for all- thank you Jesus.
