what should i do?

yesterday a friend of mine called and said she had no food i told her i would bring it but i have to work can you wait into tomorrow so i want over the next day to her house and when i got there i was shock by what i seen i went in the house and the children were there by themselves and the old is a little over 9 and the youngest is 1 it is three of them the oldest was very scared to leave with me you can tell this has happen often because she was so very protective of the others i told her that mother sent me to feed them and take them home with me so the oldest started to get the other little one ready i took them to my home and clean them up and feed them the oldest said they had not ate a good meal in almost two days the thing is i have two of my own and me and my husband just had my little girl a year ago so we are trying to care for our two i am stable for two right now but not five and i have not seen their mom or heard from her i want to help but i can not what can i do

Dang! That is a terrible postion to be put into, I would try and see if there are any family members who can step forward and care for the children first. Then I would call CPS, I would hate for those children to go into foster care and get split up or encounter some of these horrible foster parents I have been seeing on TV lately. What a sad situation. First I would report her to the cops. I know she is your friend and all, but something could have happened to her. Secondly, call children services and explain the situation. They will unfortunately go into foster care. But if you can't care for them, then that is what needs to happen. Lastly, pray. Pray for their mom and the kids and that God will provide the right foster family that can take all three together.

you ned to call the police &/or social services. She can't leave her children alone like that! And, it's your responsibility to make sure it doesn't continue to happen. Try to locate some other family members to let them know what's going on. But, either way you need to call the authorities!

Sadly, I don't think you have many options. You should probably call social services. The children will end up in foster care if there is no family member who comes forward to take them. There mother does not sound fit and it looks like she has abandoned these children.

call the police and cps get pictures of the house if it's nasty if not at least get pics of empty cubbords and fridge and anything else you think is wrong

make sure to tell cps everything you know and that mother has not called about her kids or anything

this woman should not have children and they deserve better

You need to call cps. It is most likely illegal for these children to be left alone. The best thing you can do for them is to get them the care they need. I know you might not want to because of your friend, but it will be the best thing for the children.

call the police. dial 911 and turn these children over to them. these children need a safe place keep them with you until the police arrive and take them away. the police will call social services tell them what you wrote here good luck

call the cops to report their mom missing you can also get in trouble for taking these kids out of their house. when you go there you should've call the cops when you notice they were alone. i understand as a mother you want to protect these kids, but please call up some family members, check her phone book or something.
