killing muqtada al sadr is like killing mao zedong
his influence is not only limited to iraq it reachs far beyond towards lebanon palestine iran and almost a mjority of shiites in middle east and asia
kill him the iraqi govt will collapse america will be horribly and shamelessly defeated iraq (because of out of control violence) will be eventually run by shiites with the support of iran
sadr isnt a terrorist he's a leader of a militia for once he is resisting the occupiers (US forces) he has a right to resist
and i support that for one reason is because its human, animal and male nature to claim ones territory just because they americans are moving into baghdad doesnt mean everyone is going to throw down their weapons and comply like little kids
hypothetically
how would u feel if the russians and the chinese invaded and occupied america
would u throw down ur weapons and happily comply with their demands
or would u fight back

Because they are being protected by those Shiite members in the Iraqi government too cowardly to go for him, or still using them to exterminate the Sunnis.
I heard over the news that we would be letting our criminals in prison register for the Iraq war. Maybe this is the best way to make sure the dirt of our society can be of service to America at long last. Money saved from spending for jailhouses can be used in the Iraq War.
Hello Iraq, the same thuggy sort of 'Black and Tans' once sent by Britain to Ireland, are heading your way... The al-Sadr radicals will have the opportuniy to meet their match! Hip Hip Hooray!
Bring our decent men and women home!

Right now he is in the enlightened state of Iran where, short of an all out invasion, we can't touch the fat ugly b*st*rd. He high tailed it for safety just before the 'surge' started. We would have avoided a lot of grief and trouble if we had done him in right after we took Baghdad, but we were overrun with reporters and had to play mr nice guy for the world press. That is high on my list of ways to lose a war.

Do you recall that al-Sadr adopted a more moderate, even conciliatory tone after the huge U.S/Iraqi offensive against his loyal militia. In fact, he's been out of the picture for almost a year now.
What could have possibly drawn him out of the woodwork?
What do you think might have encouraged him to talk tough again?
Did something happen recently that could have "emboldened" him?
Hmmmmm....let me think for a moment...

Probably for the same reason, that the FBI has a "10 most wanted list". Criminals and terrorists, don't hang around police headquarters waiting to be captured. They hide, use disguises, have an underground network, and all sorts of things to prevent from being captured.

It's all politics, instead of war like it should be. Get the politicians out of it and let the troops do there job and it would already have been over. Whether you take chubby out or not doesn't matter, they will kill no matter what. Although I hope they take him and his wannabe warlords out with a nice BOOM.

Oh, well maybe our troops are afraid that Nancy
Pelosi will be with Muqtada al-Sadr talking to him
(one never knows), so we can't invade his area
as we certainly wouldn't want to hurt our new
president.....er whatever it is she's in charge of.

Imagine that. He's encouraging his minion's to stop killing each other and focus on the real enemy--our guys. His followers are many and loyal and any effort to silence or capture him would raise the attacks on our troops--tenfold. So that's out.
Like we need another reason to get our troops out of there. Check out the latest story regarding Bushie incompetence.

If I see him over here, I'll take him out. You have my word as a U.S. Marine in Baghdad. I'm a sniper, with an S80 .50 BMG. His head go boom.
